I'm not sure if everyone understands just how well Coco actually played this match. She is an absolute tactician incorporating a slice forehand that was clearly throwing Sabalenka off and setting up points masterfully while absorbing Sabalenka's pace at the same time. Coco let nothing throw her focus off...from losing the 1st set in a tie break to Sabalenka's loud screaming on every shot. Sabalenka is a power player with a bit of finesse...Coco has grown into a finesse player that has power when needed. Loved watching her win this...well done Coco.

Coco has played some of the best tennis I've seen from her in this final, she is showing that she is an all-round player, her ability to defend Sabalenka's powerful shots and still play with the skill necessary to take out her opponent was world-class. No one can take this win away from her, she came and she conquered.

She definitely had better shot selection and court craft. Brilliant how she strategically used the lob (when many players would have tried to blast the ball) and there were some excellent slices in there as well.

Wow Sabalenka's powerful and fast paced stokes was so dominant in the first set that I thought it was done for, but Gauff with ingenious set-ups, clever lobs, and quick witted slices, made it very difficult for Sabalenka to maintain the same, consistent level, and forcing her to make many unforced errors. She had just lost the finals in Madrid and Rome a few weeks earlier and I’m sure she had to battle the inner voices saying that she’s about to lose another final, but she toughed it out and won spectacularly, all the while remaining calm and in control with laser focus. And when Coco started the 2nd and 3rd sets with equal intensity, Aryna quickly faded. Sabalenka is accustomed to her opponents folding when she tries to bully them on court but Coco stayed locked in and even responded-- often-- by hitting bigger in those moments to diffuse Aryna's aggression. Tactical and mental genius. Sabalenka quickly became unglued and unhinged.

Coco Gauff's quiet strength must have rattled Sabalenka's trademark grunt, and equally taking advantage of the World No 1's shot pace meant she had Sabalenka where she wanted her. Indeed! And she does it past the bounce of the ball, easy hindrance call.
      The Hindrance Rule:
This rule states that any noise that begins when the ball is in the opponent's court can be considered a hindrance.
      Subjectivity of Enforcement:
Determining what constitutes "excessive" grunting is subjective, leading to varying enforcement across tournaments and matches.
      Potential Penalties:
If an umpire deems a player's grunting a hindrance, they can award a point to the opponent or, in severe cases, order a "let" (replaying the point) or even a game loss.
      Examples of Violations:
Screeching or screaming, rather than just grunting, is often considered more egregious and more likely to be penalized

The difference when Sabalenka plays Gauff vs other opponents is that she forces her to make an extra shot each time. Just one more shot than normal and she makes a mistake 8/10 times. It gets in her head and that's where she loses. I love Gauff. A strong defense beats offense every time. One thing about her she gonna hustle to catch that ball to force her opponents to earn each point. You've gotta respect it.

Because of Coco's excellent offense (movement, return of serve, mindset, and power). Coco is the best defensive player on the WTA but she is also aggressive and has power that can match Sabalenka or Madison Keys both of whom she knocked out to win the title. Sabalenka was allowed only 37 winners (7 more than Coco) but Coco made her throw in 70 errors to get those winners. Only Coco can do that to Aryna. Whereas Coco successfully got in 30 winners and made only 30 errors. Perfectly balanced match. The stats don't lie. Coco has the best defense on tour and her offence is also amazing. Sabalenka may have the best offence against 99% of the tour whose defenses cannot handle Aryna's power but not when she faces Coco which is why she is down 6-5 in their head to head.

It's called gaslighting. Try to tell us we didn't just see Coco trash you again for the 6th time as she does on the biggest matches. Phenomenal Coco just amazing. What a win. She gave me free joy that I will enjoy for days. Just love everything about her. Her fighting and competitive spirit is unmatched. I'm a fan and will keep cheering for her win or lose because I know she works hard and when she has a favorable draw she makes the absolute best out of it. At this point she's beaten her toughest competitors including Iga and Aryna multiple times just as she did at the WTA finals. Her draw was tough with Madison a recent slam champion, and few players she's never beaten or struggled with in the past, with the seminal against a French player that previously beat two top 10 players before facing Gauff, and all the pressure was on her. People who hold off praising Coco untill her forehand and serve are perfect are no real fans. Coco just beat the no.1 player for the second time at a slam, she's the no.2 in the world, she's the highest paid female athlete, she's beaten all the best players to win the WTA finał, she's won 11 titles in singles and doubles so 22 titles in total, and grand slams in singles and doubles at 21 and yet some buffoons say she's not in her prime instead of celebrating the amazing human and athlete that she has always been and is. Her accomplishments are towering. Wow! Some folks need to get their heads checked. Just like Aryna needs to get her head checked if she thinks she lost the match because she didn't play well. She lost because Coco forced her to not play well as she has done the last 6 times she lost to Coco and Coco played a tactically phenomenal match using all of her strengths.

Nothing to do with where the player is from ...theres a normal range of ball hitting stress sound
Sabalenkas level is not normal and is clearly put on Seles and sharopova both suffered the same terrible mistake to do this deliberate hinderence tactic ...its as obvious as a plane crash !
Sabalenka has been observed lifting heavy weights and hard training sessions shes mostly silent....
The excessive noise is put on at competition tennis only ....

That's too much. She will struggle to win 6 grand slams. At best she could manage 4. That would still be a remarkable record for herself in today's tennis because young players always play with bravery and freedom. In two years from now players like Mboko, Zheng, Andreeva, Baptiste, Eala, Tauson will launch a serious challenge for winning slams.

@@LIONTAMER3DI don't think so but let us wait and see. To start with honestly Andreeva would be a serious contender for slams soon. So would Zheng.

@@zamadladla826 Andreeva and Coco's careers have the potential to unfold very similarly. Idk why somehow that's a plus for only Mirra and not Coco especially when Coco has won 2 slams on 2 different surfaces already before turning 21, not to mention made a slam final when she was 18 which Mirra will have to do this year. Also Coco is younger than Zheng and already has won 2 slams whereas Zheng doesn't even have 1 yet so...

@@W4TSKY As a staunch Coco fan myself I would say don't raise your hopes too high. I was trying to open your mind up to the fact that she is competing with fellow professionals whom receive the same type of high level support like her i.e. coaching , sponsorships etc. This means we will seldom have one particular player in the WTA who will dominate for about 3 straight years at the top. Zheng is an Olympic champion bro as for winning slams if she continues to play the way she does she will definitely win one as well.

Coco played Sabalenka's game. The humbleness, the mental strength makes you to raise the trophy aside from your beautiful game. Congrats coco
