Thanks Matt. One of the strengths of your videos is the explanation of the "whys" things are done, as opposed to far too many others who just tell the "hows" of a task.
Blending on the paper sure is a challenge, but one with which it's worth the battle! Thanks for another encouraging tutorial, and greetings from Scotland 🏴👍
Thanks for the video. Being an oil painter for years that is dabbling in watercolour the biggest advantage for me is the lack of mess and smells.Oil paint gets everywhere, for example a little bit drops off the palette knife gets on the shoe and can go right through the house before you realize. Also my remedy for some paintings that have had accidents too bad to continue is to turn them into mixed media works .
Another advantage is plain air equipment - with watercolor you need much less things to carry and it's easier to transport paintings back home. But what about sales? Do people buy watercolor paintings? As I know, they prefer oil...

Good perspective Adrian. Thanks for sharing that. I’ve never tried oil myself. Maybe someday.
Love your account! You’re inspiring and help me be a better teacher to my students
So glad to hear that!

Great point on the gear. Watercolor can sell quite well but generally for less than oils.
