- as a preface, and this is coming from someone who enjoys FICTIONAL yanderes, don't romanticize this song or yanderes. it's a fire song and I love it but like. don't romanticize it. just covering my bases here.
ANYWAYS. had this done at around the end of March. I'm working on a lot of stuff and finals week is on the horizon for me, so video work has been slower. had a lot of fun with this.
Rook's vocals kinda get eaten up by Matsudappoiyo's (sorry bud), but the video making experience of this was quite enjoyable. all the shaking was fun despite my computer's overworked fans. Rook's planned for another cover involving rocket launchers, but the video is taking way longer. it won't be as unbearable as The Mind Electric was, but there's a lot of moving parts to it.

I love this. The lack of distorted vocals at the end gives the song a more haunting vibe.
I actually couldn't/didn't want to figure out the distorted vocals part, so I played into the silence! the song's energy heavy, so I guess the moments of it sold a more "haunting" vibe haha
To be fair, my Yuma cover didn't have the distorted vocals either. I didn't know how to approach it lmao

Eyyy fireaplaca user! sucks to hear your laptop can't support it tho. I used to use medibang (before that whole cloud service debacle) but since I started using firealpaca, the program's been a breeze! I'm stingy when it comes to paying for programs, so all the ones I use are actually free!

This such a great cover! I love Poiyo, and I love this song! I also thought the slight lyric changes were super cool! I merely swapped out the female words and pronouns for male during that one part during my Yuma cover lmao. Amazing work!
I'm a little surprised at how much people love the slight change in lyrics, but thank you! I love to do it when I can and it gives a little more individuality to my covers I think

From an editor's perspective, how did you do the slight arm and eye movements? They are very smooth!
thank you!! I often think of how people edit videos myself and try to replicate it too
I used the camera shake effect in DaVinci Resolve! I separated the sclera, irises, body, and arms, setting the arms and iris to shake with that effect. their settings were mostly consistent, but I ramped up the speed and motion for the eyes in some parts. the body has its eye sockets transparent which is how you can see them! the sclera layer is so that you don't see the background in his eyes
