Sensei! Many thanks for your detailed and interesting explanation about the japanese manners! Bowing as a sign of respect, remove shoes at home, be punctual in the appointments, to not bother others commuters speaking loudly, or in other public places. recycling the trash. all this manners are really positive for life in community. I really would like that in my country (Spain) these manners will be more extended. it would be really a better society.
May I ask you a question about the difference between the queues in Tokyo and Osaka. why are different? there is an explanation? thanks

Thank you for your comment! The rule of left in Kanto and right in Kansai originated in 1967 when Hankyu Railways in Kansai announced "Please make room on the left side" and it took root at the Osaka World Expo, while in Kanto, the right-side vacancy occurred spontaneously and took root. There is a theory that this was originally caused by samurai holding their swords on the left side of the body.

interesting explanation. behind a language there is a culture, a tradition unknown. your podcast allow me, not only to learn Japanese but something most important, to understand in depth your culture. ありがとうございます!
