This trick needs to be done on acne prone , scarred , textured skin to test the effectiveness .
Ria Reyes deadass someone lmk
Yessssss
It looks disgusting on acne skin. I tried it and it was horrible
i tried it and it looked the exact same as i normally do my makeup, however it lasted longer so i would give it a 10/10

II Thankyouu
You‘re an angel 🧚🏼♀️
Bless you ❤️
4:02 :)
1 moisturize
2 primer
3 powder
4 setting spray
5 foundation
EDIT: this is the order that ya girl Sagonia goes with in the video, not the tik tok order
But after foundation u add again powder ? 😅 or just highlight and contur 😅 . Thats what i m curious lol
@@iuliaiulia1681 me too!!
It’s actually the wrong order here!!! It’s:
1. Moisturizer
2. Powder
3. Setting spray
4. Primer
5. Foundation
Iulia iulica technically you shouldn’t have to add powder after foundation. This routine is good for oily skin, it basically replaces the “baking” you usually do after foundation
you should probably edit this comment since it could be misleading others
Nobody:
RUclipsrs after talking for 15 minutes straight: "Alright, let's get straight into the video!"
😂😭😭
The longest intro...
Katrina Barayuga true 😂
I closed my eyes almost fell asleep
just seems like it’s long because the video is short
Nic it’s 8 mins that isn’t short
So true it was way too long , kinda made us less interested in the point of the video
I know im hella late to this comment section but I felt its worth noting that if you do have combination skin (oily and dehydrated) or just super oily, a cream moisturizer might not be the best choice. I've found that creams under my makeup is just too much for my oily skin and makes it separate after a few hours. A light gel or water-based moisturizer is the BEST to go under your makeup! Also when you put on your moisturizer, let it sit for few minutes. Any place your skin doesn't absorb it, bend that part out with a sponge or use a tissue to blot it off before continuing to get the best finish! Hope this helps at least someone!!
Sorry, but for the whole time, my only thought is that you really don't need foundation, your skin looks perfect and flawless without it :)
Zuza Sobieska for realll I thought the same
Same! I wouldn't even wear foundation if my skin was as smooth and clear as yours 😩
@Jenny Doll The comment was literally a COMPLIMENT. Also, no foundation is ever gonna be healthy for your skin, especially not compared to regular moisturizer or sunscreen. Ever thought about the fact that getting mad at people COMPLIMENTING others is weird? Apparently not, but you really should.
This technique is absolutely revolutionary. Its more about the setting spray being applied before the foundation, rather than the powder. I haven't seen Wayne Goss applying setting spray before foundation. This technique absolutely kept my makeup on. I struggle with slipping make up in the humid weather, but this hack was superb, I'll never trade it up. It even allowed my foundation to cover my scars with just one layer of foundation, I found the pigments in all products applied afyer the setting spray was more intense. So I went, moisturise, primer, setting spray (drenched face, then fan dry) and foundation.
Love your message of owning your flaws! Would love to see influencers embrace that and not blur/edit their photos
I hate myself knowing the exact makeup hack you're going to talk about cause girlll im guilty of being on tiktok all the damn time🤣🤣
Nevss me too hahaha
Jackie Aina has been doing this for soooo longgg!!!
she knows what's up
noorchm who cares about the Diva number 1
I think Wayne Goss has an old video about this as well!
Lejla M we do
@@heyyou.. a lot of people apparently
*Jackie and Wayne have been saying this for years*
I just comment about Wayne Goss as well
Don’t use a gripping primer when you try this. I used the Milk Makeup hydro grip primer after which I lightly powdered my face followed by setting spray, foundation and the rest of the routine. My makeup looked awful! Patchy and super cakey. However when I use a blurring primer for this technique (usually the Angel Veil primer by nyx), my makeup actually turns out amazing and stays on all day.
omg i used grip primer and it did turn out patchy and pilling
I agree!
I have been using this technique for a while and I am always trying different primers. I have extremely sensitive, combination, acne prone skin, as well I am very fair. If you use a velvet type primer or one of my favs, NYX Bare with me Gelly primer (a little grippy but hydrating) it works great. Also, I only use a light dusting of powder only in the spots my skin tends to get oily and makeup creases in.
But as you said, Grip primer is your worst enemy for this hack, specially washing your face off and starting again, cause this method makes it stay on lol... 😅
AND as well, HUGE mistake people make is not using ALL WATER BASED PRODUCTS!!! moisturizer, primer, foundation everything. if ANY of the products you stick on your face have oil in them forget it. This method works and holds great and long, if you use all water base, I personally find. Specially for people with combination acne prone skin.
What about sunscreen 😅 every foundation or makeup video always leaves that out. I usually put makeup on in the morning not at night..
I’m late but I’m assuming after moisturizer?
Seriously though, if I looked like you I doubt I would ever wear makeup. Unless it was a special occasion. THAT'S how flawless you are! Beautiful!!
Wow your hair gives me major summer vibes🌸
Wayne makeup artist mentioned this at least 8 years ago ... but yes It does work
Yeah this technique was popularized by wayne goss such a long time ago, then Jackie Aina talked about it all the time toom I thought everyone knew about it. It's weird to see it popping up again from Tik Tok like it's a newly invented thing.
Can we use compact powder in place of translucent powder before foundation?
ZARYAB KHAN I have this question too
ZARYAB KHAN no u want to create invisible layers so it doesn’t create a cakey canvas. Translucent powder is needed because it’s invisible when lightly used across the face
Wayne Goss is AMAZING and deserves much more subs!
Doing this is amazing for all my dry girlies don’t do it in the winter lol Jackie taught me this and I love it. Also if you have textured skin use a brush and not a sponge
Why not in the winter ? 🤔
As I’m doing this right now😭
So in the summer is it okay doing this? I have dry skin and tend to sweat like crazy
Your long intro and showing your true self has made me subscribe to your channel. Keep wearing your heart on your sleeve, so refreshing to know there are real people still out there 😊
The girl in the TikTok video actually had the correct order. I saved this several years ago when I was modeling:
Flawless Makeup Base
* Apply moisturizer
* Apply loose setting powder
* Apply setting spray
***Allow everything to dry completely.
* Apply primer and allow to set
* Finally, apply foundation and nothing else afterwards
So you don’t set your makeup again after the foundation?
How about concealer? And dont you need to set your makeup again after foundation?
I’m also concern about the concealer and setting the face after again. I feel like it looks too shiny on her idk
But her skin is naturally flawless she barley needs foundation just concealer!!! My skin has bumps and acne
Noora Queen that’s more of a reason for you to not wear it and start getting into skin care, James and hyram are good channels here on RUclips. That’s what I did and I don’t wear foundation anymore because I like the way my skin looks
Noora Queen...you have to clear up your skin first. Check out the Dr. Perricone book on acne. Fish oil capsules help with inflammation. If you are a coffee drinker always have some protein or water before you drink your coffee. Coffee increases inflammation which will jack up your skin. You too can achieve clear skin. I did! Good luck! 💗🤗👍
S Smith my acne is gone but sm scars pited scars and opn pores wht should i do for that plz hlp m out with this 😐😟
kylie sardar97 I actually barley wear foundation!!! Only on special occasions!! Less then once a month o take very great care of my skin!!! And tried everything! I’ll try going to a dermatologist because my acne is mostly caused by pcos .and even when most of my acne is gone i still have acne scars and I ahve a very pale skin with dark dots of scaring
hur ain...for acne scars my sister did microdermabrasion for that. It definitely takes some time to see results but she has noticeably lessened the scaring. You can get good deals on this procedure through Groupon. I know less intense chemical peels can be helpful as well. For large pores nutrition plays a big role in this. Do you supplement? If not you might want to try. Cleansing, gently exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing are all helpful practices to improve skin quality. My skin was terrible in my twenties. When I cleaned up my diet and implement a better skin regime I improved my skin tremendously. Cut out refined foods, sugar, processed grains and I assure you your skin will improve. Good luck! 🤗
i can’t believe that this video was 1 year ago... and we still have covid today💀
Definitely have to try this out because my skin does get oily 🙄
What if you use sunscreen? Will it go like this?
1. Moisturize
2. Sunscreen
3. Primer
4. Powder
5. Setting spray
6. Foundation
??
Yeahhhh
It is totally fine
I usually put on sunscreen first, but you moisturize first? what sunscreen do you use?
The exact video start 4:00😪
Thanks me later😫😫
I did this on my skin which is acne prone with some current blemishes and I would say for the best results shave your face with the face razors. I think the technique works and definitely makes your makeup look more natural even with a full coverage foundation.
"I am just so sick of everyone just bringing ourselves down and commenting on other people pictures"
i am in love with this citat
If you watch wayne goss he suggested a good way for preventing oily nose he said to put face primer then a layer of powder then eye primer on your nose an again a layer of Powder and it worked so good for me
Will that work for dry skin ?
I have extremely dry skin
I do this and my makeup stayed on perfectly for 30 hours! Don’t ask why I had my make up on for that long but was my bday weekend 😂🤭
Would you know if it gets into lines? I don't sleep much and developed major lines under my eyes.
snoopy hotsauce so with your eyes make sure you use a good eye moisturiser and just very lightly set it otherwise it’ll become too dry. I use tarte shape tape to brighten and conceal my under eyes. I then lightly set it with Rimmel true match face powder just under my eyes where people tend to have lines and then I’ll go over it with Laurier Mercier translucent powder and then I’ll very lightly bake but don’t bake where u have lines!!! That’s why it becomes Cakey, bake for a min or two under the lines and where u want to highlight especially. Worked for me and my makeup didn’t split. It really has to do with the method above^^ I use the primer last though and it doesn’t interfere with the translucent powder and setting spray invisible layers
snoopy hotsauce try cereve eye cream also, it’s cheap and very moisturising and has naicinimde to minimise darkness over time. Don’t listen to anyone who says eye cream isn’t important because it’s crucial
So don't we need to put compact on foundation after this?
And can we now contour on foundation itself? And what about the final setting spray? Pls reply asap
@@himanshiaroramua hey what do u mean compact after foundation?
I tried this and I have dry skin... pray everyone stays healthy and safe. God bless everyone
how did it work out for you??

You’re making me so happy
Step 1: have clear skin
Me: well, Guess I'm disqualified then
)))
THATS EXACTLY WHAT SHE SAID NOT TO DO
No offense tho lmao
Oh actually I have tones of spots and that's kind of stuff and it still works jsut add concealer after the foundation and don't wear it for too long it really does work
Aunty Jackie been tellin yall , that's all ima say.
Jackie Jackie Jackie Jackie. That girl knnnooowww
Yeah I tried this after seeing Jackie’s video a while ago lol. It works but was too drying in the winter for my skin.
my foundation always looks like that lil picture on your thumbnail I HAVE TO TRY IT
LOL we've all been there don't worry
Ikr
did u try it? how did it come out
kayla - it didnt worked but i have acne and really dry skin that could be the reason nothing helps 😫
Reyhan Yzci you should look for videos for dry skin. I believe this technique works best on oily skin
I've been using this routine for a few months now and I can guarantee that it seriously works miracles. Around a year ago I ordered the fit me setting powder but never got to using it because I rarely wore any makeup. Fast forward a few months and I had tried some skincare products that gave me hyperpigmentation and I was devastated. My face became two shades darker than my neck and I didn't know how to use makeup to cover it up.
One day I tried this exact routine (moisturize, prime, setting powder, and setting spray) and it was seriously a miracle. My skin tone appeared the same color as my neck, the makeup was flawless, and it stayed on ALL DAY; plus it was mask proof!!
I use the setting powder as my foundation instead of dabbing it (I put a lot on lol) and then use two heavy moisturizers to prevent a cakey look and for the skin to look hydrated and glowy. I still have the pigmentation so this is my go-to!
1) Moisturizer
2) Primer
3 ) Powder
4) Setting spray
5) Foundation
Sunscreen??
Nishath Tazin sunscreen before moisturizer. If you find it’s too oily or you have a moisturizing sunscreen you can skip the moisturizer :)
Whoa. This goes against everything I have learned lol
RIGHT
Guys remember u don’t have to follow a certain technique, explore every technique and find out what is best for ur skin and use that.
We need a skincare routine 😍
Ur skin is so flawless n hydrated u don't need any foundation n ur eyebrows are just perfect 💞
I use this same foundation. It's better than any of the expensive ones I have. It looks so natural on that you don't look made up. It looks like you have awesome skin.
"People just bring themselves down to compliment another person
❤❤❤❤
Ok bet I’ll try this out when quarantines over and I have to go out in the public again😗😌
Corrine S why not try it first to make sure it’ll glide on perfectly and actually use it when you’ll go out in public? 😂
Queen of youtube, lashes, brows, body and HAIR back at it again❤️😍
Mirfrancis Villa literally their perfect
All I can think of is the girl on tiktok needs to chill on the lips:..
she overdrew the top lip waaaaay too much lol... kylie syndrome
warclassics lmao I thought of Kim Possible the first time I saw the tik tok
True
She’s literally just been saying how people hate on themselves too much and I can’t help but feel that people like you are the type to cause that shit. My lips are exactly the same, naturally and even if I put lipgloss on it looks over the top and people like us already know that shit. You can see she’s confident, why try pull her down?
The girl on tik tok needs to chill on the lips and her foul language.
so you don’t put setting powder even after the foundation?? it stays fine the whole day just like this???
That's what I was scrolling to look for?? Any powder after foundation?!
Wondering the same thing, I live in warm humid weather, so I'm just wondering if the makeup will melt? Or will it crease?
think you're supposed to go by your normal makeup rutine after the foundation - applying whatever you normally apply after foundation, including setting powder
I have dry oily patchy skin. I don’t even know.
Sofia Gul sameeee I have combination skin: t zone and nose is oily and my cheeks and chin is dry
Sofia Gul This should be merch 🤣💀💀💀
You probably have dehydrated skin, i'm having the same problem, my skin can look oily but at the same time i can see dry flakes of skin :c
same girl same
same 🥺🥺🥺i hate my skin
Im only 21, and I've been doing this for four years it never fails. I was actually going to tell you to try it out two years ago but,I didn't think you would listen so i guess i wated
that's so amazing to hear!! its such a life saver!
I’m so hype about this! This is my biggest struggle since I wear a full face. Blesssss 🙏🏽
please let me know how it works for you!!
def trying this soon!!! AND AHHHHH YOU ARE ALMOST AT 300K!! super proud of you! i cant express how much i love your uploads. All i receive from you are good vibes and I love that!
Btw I needed this video badly !! Like my skin gets oily in the middle of the day and sometimes my makeup sweats off
that makes me so happy! girl I feel you! trust me try this, you won't regret it!!!
Sagonia Lazarof im def gonna try this :) thank u so much for replying ugh btw ur so gorgeous like I said 💛 but yeah like in the middle of the day my skin gets very oily plus I have make up on so you can like see my pores and I just look disgusting
have you tried it yet??
Mia C yeaaa:)
Abigail Jane did it work well for you?
Why is everyone posting this, this is so old so many big youtubers talked about this years ago.
Well I hadn’t known about it, so even if it’s old I’m glad she mentioned it now because I learned something. And I’m sure a couple other people did also
The order
1. Moisturizer
2. Primer
3. Powder
4. Foundation
5. Setting spray
It works the same way
i am going to try it out! I will report back the results after I do :D
EDIT: don’t try this 😭 it looks patchy and kinda ages you! lol maybe it’ll work really well on oily skin people
))) thank you for the feedback. Most people will just promise to report back but never do, lol.
I dont know you in person, but I already like you for keeping the promise. Love from Chechnya
I’m loving your hair😫🤍 You know what, I just LOVE YOU IN GENERAL🤍🤍
I've NEVER CLICKED SO FAST
OMG I NEED THAT SETTING SPRAY BECAUSE I WANT ONE THAT CONSTANTLY SPRAYS INSTEAD OF HAVING TO KEEP PRESSING IT TO SPRAY
Your crazy beautiful and it's nice to see a pretty natural makeup application without all the Halloween vibes that everyone does now. Team natural all day!
If I looked like you I wouldn’t wear make up at all! You are absolutely stunning.
If I had her SkinI wouldn't even own foundation
Try using two primers in the spots you need them like the Laura mercier around your face and the tarte pore primer (the one in the little jar) and just use a little of that one on your large pore area. The milk hydrogrip works awesome to keep ahold of your foundation and also skindinavia setting spray in the bridal type they have.... Works way better then urban decay all nighter
I remember watching a makeup artist here on RUclips explain this trick a few months ago!
Wayne Goss has before
@@tiffanycurry4747 I wouldn't doubt it! He's a genius haha! But I'm talking about another guy. I can't remember his name. He has fair skin, a dark beard and wears a lot of hats in his videos.
This is actually a trick that Jordan Liberty posted a few days ago!
Dilara X yes !! the powder makes the primer go on smoother it’s pretty good
But you-
But-
You have perfect skin you could just skip foundation and go straight to the next steps
The best tip i ever had was what foundation shade I should buy. I have freckles as I'm ginger and couldn't figure out which one to use. Turns out its a mix of my freckles and skin colour. I'm not ashamed of my freckles but it's nice to be clear every now and then.
(for my own reference)
1. Moisturizer
2. Primer
3. Powder
4. Setting spray
My own reference:
1. Moisturizer
Fun tip, if u do a squirt of primer and one of liquid foundation, it helps it go on a lot smoother
Great intro.... very human... very normal... you go girl. Over 40 year old/young women should definitely follow her routine. Keep it going girl. You keeping it real. You are beautiful without make-up😊👍🏻
Am i the only one who noticed Keratosis "Paralysis"?! 🤣🤣 So cute. Girl same I have kp but i wish i could learn to love with it like you have
Where you see that ?
I heard that & was like, ok, so that's technically wrong, but emotionally it's totally accurate. 😂😂❤️❤️
@@bananaramadingdong haha exactly

You look flawless even without makeup
You have very healthy skin.
Biiiiiitch you might of done something here🤯 I have oily skin, a problematic pore area, AND kp 😭 this might just change my life. Thank you!❤️
Even though I have dry skin ,my makeup disappears no matter what I do. My dearest friend friend is a makeup artist and she says “ girl have no idea we have tried everything and every brand”. . I tried this technique a few years ago and it works amazingly . It can be a little heavy with the wrong foundation but mostly I am coming completely satisfied.
Bestie was impressed as well. She said okay we have found the holy grail.
Same situation did it worked for yo?
“Keratosis paralysis” 😂😂😂
buru44 pilaris***** 😂
@@SagoniaLazarof did lasering your body not get rid of keratosis pilaris? I thought lasering would help with the bumps
Protein deposits aren’t flaws. They’re a natural variance in skin texture.
Most of the TikToks came from Jordan Liberty's first video after after her came back from cancer treatment. When the primer goes before powder it really locks in the moisture. However A LOT of foundations will separate when done this way. Laura Mercier especially seperates on me.
I liked doing this A LOT but then I started to breakout :(
Giiiirl! Can we get a hair tutorial?! Love these soft natural curls 😍
Ur eyebrows are goalsssssss x
SHOW A WEAR TEST!!! Do a follow up video, put a clock in the lower corner, and show us how it looks in all kinds of lighting throughout the day! I’d love to know if it lasts all day! Maybe try it with a few other drugstore foundations too just to see if it’s the routine that’s fail proof.... and that water/oil based products don’t matter.... or do they?? 😂 good job! ❤️❤️ sending love ur way, I have the bump problem too and I have such bad anxiety that I pick at them and cause scars.. don’t do it!! Try the glycolic acid toner from the ordinary.. it’s gotten rid of most of my bumps and blackheads! Simple to use too❤️🤟🏼

The actual video starts here, de nada
I tried this with the Tatcha dewy skin cream, Tatcha silk canvas primer, Maybelline lasting fix banana powder & the NYX setting spray 😍 gods gift for my dry skin 💖
You are really beautiful no matter what. Before and after makeup, doesnt matter, you dont even need makeup girl... You have such an amazing complexion, I just adore it. Your content is great as well. Your foundation also looks like a great match. I want to ask you to reply me or make a video about your technique to match your shade for drugstore foundations, I am never successful at that!
Just a question wouldn't primer go first after moisturizer for the translucent pwdr to adhere, spray then foundation ? 🤔
Makeup came out good tho !
U don’t put on a load of powder, just a light dusting so that you will still be able to blend in liquid products
I have the shortest attention span, I usually find myself skipping through people’s videos but yours I watch beginning to end, you get to the point and you keep it fun not boring! Also ur videos are different and stuff that is so useful and I swear I have tried every single tutorial or hack you have made a video about and all have changed my life, my all time fave is the Bella hadid pony u did, I do that hair style now all the time!! K I’m done haha love u
Theres so much facetune on that thumbnail omg
So I have "perfect skin" no acne, scars or texture and this technique did nothing for me but made it look cakey and cracked. That was MY experience though
If you do this under your eyes does it prevent from creasing?
Okayyy same here !! Ive been suffering from kerotasis too and I searched on RUclips a hack which make it look flawless and iam shook you too have it
4:02 is where it should begin, this woman needs to stop making the intro half of the video long...
This is the first video with an intro. She goes straight in to the tutorial usually.
Thank God I saw your comment. Life is too short to expend 4minute just in an intro
Don’t try this if your skin is dry/ combo / textured lol mine turned out super cakey..
I used the same if not better products too. Used the same super stay powder. Nyx setting spray, elf hydrating drops, la rosche posay moisturizer, smash box primer and matte putty primer.
Maybe it was one of my products? Maybe you just have to use the same exact products? But this is not giving… Cakey. Espeacilly under direct light. From a distance in front of light actually looks really good though. I left the primer on for over an hour to help it last all day.
I already know you aren’t suppose to put powder under the eyes too.. Looks horrible. Looks horrible in any dry spots.
I will update this by the end of the day.
“...from I think you can guess where...”
“Instagra-“

“Oh.”
I LOVE your brows!
Damn that intro was so long!! Skip to 4:00 for the hack. You're welcome. :)
I do it a little different...(acne prone)
1. moisturizer (wait 10 minutes)
2. A GOOD Mineral powder Foundation (extra coverage for breakouts without looking 🎂)
3. Thermalwaterspray (wait to dry)
4. Your routine 😋 Foundation, powder, Contour fixingspray
Best none creasing perfect looking skin
Without! showing textured skin
