yeah if they took the unfinished content and polished out some things it could make for a great remake, they wouldnt really have to do anything with the story either (at least I dont think so)
Yeah the game clearly handles well having the guest characters as fully playable characters. And there's tons of unused data for their old ToS1 weapons alongside evidence they meant to put more complete movesets (why doesn't Sheena have ANY spells or Colette Angel Feathers? Colette uses Angel Feathers in a cutscene but can never learn it in game lmao). Very most likely this game will never get its unused content and ideas actually materialized if it got, by any chance, remade. They'd probably just start from scratch and try to imitate the then most popular entry instead of reintroducing scrapped concepts since I believe a major part of the DotNW team isnt working with Namco anymore. Like how it happens with most remakes in this series, really lol
There could have been time constraints, as this was being worked at the same time as Tales of Vesperia. This is pretty evident in the lack of quality seen in-game. There's no way they couldn't see, for example, half of the original casts' up-normals being so ineffective if not outright useless(just look at Lloyd's for a good example, a character you'd expect them to make sure was working right). I heard the game initially was supposed to have Alice and Decus as playable characters, which may be the reason Marta had access(incantations) to other elemental spells. If that was the case, and they decided to renege and use the Symphonia 1 cast, that may have also attributed to said time constraints. Less time to make specialized effects for the cast in general. Then there are things like Marta and Emil swimsuit that never got used, which was probably for some sidequest thing that never got implemented(probably due to time constraints as well). They could have intentionally nerfed her and the rest of the original cast so that they do not outshine the main story characters.
Hey Kevassa! Hace mucho que no subis nada, pero me preguntaba si vos jugas Tales of the Rays!!Es increiblemente genial, es cierto que un juego de gacha no es lo mismo que uno de consola, pero es realmente un juegazo!
winstonh89 you have to use any art modifier through gecko which also allows for some other pretty cool cheats, for example if you use the Party modifier and use it on an orcrot you get an orcrot with With Genis’s moveset
If there's any Tales game that would benefit from a remake, it's definitely Dawn. It seems like there were a lot of unused ideas here.

yeah there is sticking with good ol charmingly broken symphonia 2 and there is the R treatment... you know I prefer the unfinished game
I wonder why they didn't want Sheena to have her summon pacts...this game could've been a little better with them.

Interesting find. Hope TCRF adds this to their New World page. : )

Wtf?! Emil was gonna have Judgment?!
N A N I
Not really, I used a long casting spell (since you cant hold spells in this game) to show off his entire casting animation and when it stops panning
How did you give spells to them? was it with BFSD? If so could you tell me where you got your line of code?
Thank you
