You've GOT to watch the "Official" video.
You will 💯% understand what's going on. It's definitely one of the most unique music videos ever made.
Brad you were on the right track 👊
Agreed, the video really helps and Dave is pretty easy to understand, doesn't require a lyric video.
Definitely watch the official vid!🤘🏻
The best video of The MTV era.
yeah haha big time watch the music video
Yeah, what they said!
Can’t lie it’s not the same without the music video
I saw Megadeth Saturday night with Lamb of God. Was a badass show. This was one of my bucket list bands to see. Did not disappoint
I was there also it was kick ass
So jealous!... I never listened to a lot of their stuff when I was younger (Metallica fan mostly) but I've always appreciated them as a band. I knew the backstory about the two, but Dave and the band definitely made their place in metal
WAS THERE IN WA AUBURN! SO FIRE
The songs "Countdown to Extinction" and "Ashes in Your Mouth" are 2 more of that album y'all should check out (album name also "Countdown to Extinction")
That's a badass album. Not a bad song on it.
Ashes In Your Mouth is such a bad ass song. The guitar harmonies always give me chills.
Ashes is probably THE most underrated Megadeth song. It should have the same level of notoriety as Hanger 18 and Holy Wars.
these two DO NOT READ THESE comments.. so don't bother with suggestions.
This is some of Megadeth's best, Dave seems to have really dug deep into the worst feeling's around his drug, alcohol and withdrawal issues with this song in particular. The dude really did pretty much go through hell to get clean back then.
Exactly, hit the nail on the head. Take Care
Spent most of lockdown drinking and got myself a bit of a problem -- a liter of vodka every day. Quit cold turkey. Took about a week before I started feeling like sanity was returning and I wasn't going to die. If you've been through this, then you KNOW this song is about what you said. You are correct.
if you went through alcohol and opiate withdrawal. this is what it feels like. absolutely correct.
Without a doubt correct. "Claiming validity for your stupidity" sums it up perfectly
@@josephvanalstyne4049 too many times that I'd like to admit, only alcohol tho. I messed with cocaine a bit here and there, but never got into anything else other than that and weed
I always loved the lyric about his "black tooth grin." Dimebag Darrell of Pantera created a cocktail called a Blacktooth Grin which is a glass of Crown Royal with a splash of Diet Coke. It's delicious
RIP Dime, but that is just a filthy beverage, lol.
Maple Grove Bar just outside of Cleveland serves this as designed and instructed by Dime himself. Last I was there (2008 ish) proceeds from each Blacktooth sold was going to a victims service non-profit of some kind
Actually had black tooth grin with dime never forget
I drink 1 every Saturday night. Getcha pull brothers!
It was real coke not diet.
You guys gotta watch this video when you get a chance. It is about dementia, the video fits the song well.
I was going to suggest the same. A pretty creative video.
*Psychosis. Your grandma probably isn't having this conversation in her head.
In the 1992 live version in Italy he states it’s about Schizophrenia before performing but he’s paraphrased different meanings for it over interviews as well.
One of the best videos from the Golden Age of MTv
One of their top 5 songs sales and fan wise.
You guys should react to…
Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde
🎸🤘
Definitely 🤘
My fav song by them
The original one, or the one with the delectable cristina scabbia in?
Definitely the one with Cristina

Love the thrash metal reactions! My favorite megadeth song is the killing road!
This song is about the demons Dave was going through, monkey on your back kind of thing. I unfortunately have been there done that but through Megadeth and my girlfriend ( now wife ) I’m one of the lucky ones who made it several try’s but thanks to my beautiful wife. 80’s and 90’s a lot of fun but a lot of other things not so much. God Bless
A couple other great songs from this album are Skin O' My Teeth and High Speed Dirt. The second one written after and about going skydiving!!
I always felt that Sweating Bullets was about a need to let go of things like anger and regrets. It sounds like a person who is living defensively from day to day due to a tragic past that he can’t let go of from fear of recurrences. Holding on to those things only makes you a bitter and angry person. I sensed that because it helped me to get out of the angry rut I was in once.
Try trippin on shrooms 🍄
Officially it's about scizophrenia
@@aarorissanen930 The Psychological definition of schizophrenia..... Hearing voices.
How do we really know what is going on in the mind of another?
Hell, during my Psychedelic mushroom trips I have experienced emotions that evoked thought as a communication, there is no voice involved.
Awe no video. I guess it'll be okay as long as we hear the GOAT .My man Mustaine. Thank god Metallica fired him The greatest thing to happen in metal history. The Birth of MEGADETH.
the greatest thing to happen in metal history is we have both metallica and megadeth
That's what I try to explain to people when they complain about him getting booted out. Otherwise no Megadeth and we only have the Big 3!!
@@ali965 metallashit suck ass.
@@johnlitz4226 Kinda seems like you got the hate covered there. And Lars doesn't play guitar 🙄
Great statement: No Big Four and his clinical riffs, and leads with such distinct vocals 🤘💯
This is the remastered version
Brad nailed the meaning of this song... it's about schizophrenia, voices in his head, paranoia, blacking out with loss of time and unaware of where you've been or what you've done...
No it’s not
@Alpha Omega ...
Perhaps you know something the rest of us don't... so what did Dave Mustaine tell YOU the song was about???
Yeah "not knowing where I've been" sounds a lot more like DID(Dissociative Identity Disorder)
That's not what schizophrenia does to people.
@@yootoob1001001 ...
Did you study Psychology in college? I did... I've studied Abnormal Psychology, Criminal Psychology, Childhood Developmental Psychology, read many case studies... it's really quite fascinating... if you are equally as qualified, I would absolutely be open to a clinical debate... otherwise, you have no idea what you are talking about...
Back when Dave was still struggling a lot with the needle and most likely booze. A great song and a great concert that year. Now he has been born again for almost 20 years and hopefully free from those demons forever. 🙏 This record is 🔥. "I've seen the man use the needle, I've seen the needle use the man". Some other great Megadeth lyrics and I will let you kids find out what song they are on...
Dave is an original member of Metallica if ya didn’t know 😁
Yes, and thank fuck he didn't last long.
This is one of the ones where the music video really helps to paint the meaning.
I love both of your reactions when Dave starts singing...hahahahahahahahaha, what? Priceless.
You should check out the music video that goes with it.
Lex u looked alittle disappointed at first. Glad u came around. More megadeth!!!!
Another one of those songs that really needs the video to get the full effect. You'll definitely want to check it out at some point.
Great reaction as always. 😎👍
Trust, almost honest, A secret place and train of consequences next please!
The music video is great.
the look on your faces when u heard his voice.. priceless!! 😂
This album, "Symphony of destruction" came out the same yr Metallica's"Black" album did. I always thought this was way better. Try the title track.
The album is countdown to extinction
Black Album came out in 91
Countdown came out in 92
these two DO NOT READ THESE comments.. so don't bother with suggestions.
that guitar solo with the drum rhythm going. reminds me so much of a dream theater song called lie it has a guitar solo and drum break down too.
Kind of fun. "Hello me, nice talking to myself"....
Lex, your joy for metal just makes my soul smile!
LOL...love that first expression Brad! Awesome! The first time I ever saw Dave on stage was in early 1983 in SF...when he was on lead guitar for Metallica.
Nice!! I didn't "discover" Metallica until Ride the Lightning.
This is my 8yr old son's favorite song from Megadeth
Lex you would love this album. The killer drums plus the many guitar solos plus Dave's unique vocals. Great album!
I luv this song it’s telling that every body got a voice in ur head that is trying to come out and to control ur u.
Hey guys what's up! Greetings from South Florida! This whole album is great! Awesome guitar playing. You guys rock! God bless you! Peace!
Brad nailed it. The verses were the voice in his head. I love the swing of this song.
Or could it be he's just Criminally Insane, Brad and Lex, lol
I love how this song starts like a guitar lesson and grows into the most 'ear worming' song ever!
Hello me it's me again !!!
We used to drink a few beers and smoke a blunt, then head to the circle at the end of our street next to the river canal. And once we got a little blitzed, we would put this song on and sing it, do our own mosh pit below the only streetlight, and simply have a great time.
Funny timing, just saw Megadeth last Saturday night and of course they played Sweating Bullets.
This song opened my eyes and ears to Megadeth. Absolute Killer
Brad gots it. Lex, too. BTW, sounded like a remastered version.
Remixed too. Totally screwed up the impact of the intro riff. They did the same thing with Darkest Hour.
@@hmpz36911 I like darkest hour remaster though.
@@Yamatsu7 I'll stick to the original, on that one. KIMB is the only one that doesn't bother me, as far as remixes and remasters go.
That remixing is a massive downgrade. The original is so much better pretty much throughout.
240p, it doesn't matter if it's remastered or anything else when it's 240p.
this brings me such joy
That throbbing drum at the end gets me pumped every time.
Love your reactions
This inspired Dimebag's signature drink- The Black Toothed Grin
Getchya Pull!
This is a BadAss song!
i like that sometimes you react to songs i literally have not heard in 10-15 years!
Lil metal trivia knowledge. That line " Smiling that black tooth grin" would inspire a whiskey drink named by Pantera lead guitarist Dime Bag Darrel Abbott The Black Toothed Grin. Believe it was Seagrams 7, Jack Daniels and a small splash of Coke ( the soft drink ) Just for the coloring lol
Oh heck yeah! One of their best!
Uncle Dave IS the voice in my head
Maestro Fresh Wes - Let Your Backbone Slide
In my darkest hour is definitely one you need to do when you get back around to megadeth.
This song is how Dimebag came up with the name of his favorite drink. Blacktooth!
The look on Brad's face when he paused the first time... looked like he was traumatized BAHAHA.
Seen them twice sent including this album, fantastic shows
Keep megadeth covers coming guys🤘
You should have watched the video clip; it's pretty cool.
One more master piece Thanks dave
Dave likes singing from the perspective of a mentally unstable person, this is definitely one of those songs. It's like the devil on his shoulder telling him to do bad. "Hello me, it's me again."
Damn, Brads been spot on lately 👌🏼
My all time favorite Megadeth song. Dave Mustaine pulls no punches when he writes, a master in the art of metal!!
Brad nails it again. Very good call. Lex is rubbing off on you. That comment about the little troll inside your head is great.
Brad hit it on the nose...He's talking to himself.
Awesome tune!!
Nice. Sweating bullets is a apecial song. True insanity captivated in a song. "If the war inside my head, wont take a day off, ill be dead..."
The video helps tell the story really well
definitely one of those ya need to see the video things
So interesting you mention pickle shot, this song says "smile a black toothed grin" Pantera devised a drink the Black Toothed Grin :D
Yeah, Brad got it right away. Reminds me of a friend who had dissociative disorder. Not sure what they did or did not do, can't tell if they are in trouble for it or not, constantly paranoid that they are going to get punished for something they haven't even thought of doing yet. I couldn't imagine living like you are always worried about things you did but don't know anything about. 😵💫
Love yous guys.
Brad nailed it
Love this song.
Brad nailed it! Watch the video!
Oh this song so many memories
he sounds like beavis
I respect your opinion . My opinion is he sounds like a confident man that chased his dreams and became successful while achieving that dream.
@@harlanmonk569 thats kool. at the time it was released it was on the MTVs Beavis and Butthead and everyone was saying he sounded like Beavis. but i think he was trying to deal with bad thoughts from being kicked out of Metalica with no second chance. he came back with vengeance and it was awesome!!!!
Check out Hook in Mouth or This Was My Life or Ashes In Your Mouth. Three little ditties by the one and only fire breathing ,skull crushing hell stomping masters of metal MEGADETH.
these two DO NOT READ THESE comments.. so don't bother with suggestions.
great song and amazing vid for the time
"Hello me, meet the real me" It's a man fighting with his inner demons.
Finally! Been waiting on this reaction just to see Lex’s face when it started.
I saw Megadeth for the third time this weekend. And they played this song live. Dave introduced the song and said it was about one of his wife's friends. She would freak out and just leave his wife out in public with no way of getting home. Best of all she wouldn't say anything. Her friend would just get up and leave.
I love how fitting the solo is in this. It's kind of crazy, dizzy and carnivalish. It fits the meaning on the song so well.
I just saw them in concert. 33 years since I saw them last.
My favorite reaction channel. 3 things. #1 I'm a massive Pantera fan, been to about 15 or their shows and partied backstage 3 times. They are rhe most down to earth dudes ever. Their shows were full anarchy, awesome pits, stage diving, weed smoke all over er etc. (Same with Slayer). 2.) Lex if you like thrash metal check out Machine Head, Burn My Eyes album. 3.) You guys should react to some "Hick Hop". Rap about country shit. A couple starters for ya "Country Roads" by Appalachian Don. "My Neighbors" by Big Smo, and "12 inch lift" by Boondock Kings" cheers
Brad's right, it's about a voice in your head and it's yourself. Video explains it all.
Symphony of Destruction was the big radio play. But, my fave is Captive Honour.
Great song. Epic album
this whole album is a banger
Dave Mustane found religion to battle his addiction. So glad it worked. He’s very nice.
Great song!
A "Black tooth grin" was Dimebags favorite drink!
When this album came out, me and a mate would scream it out at the top of lungs (listening from a crappy walkman) as we walked to the station, smoking ciggies on our way to gigs :D
This is my favorite Metal album of all time. Symphony of Destruction is, to me, a perfect album. There isn't a single bad song on it.
You mean Countdown To Extinction. Symphony Of Destruction is a track, not an album:)
@@carlgibbons5777 you right, lol. that speaks poorly for me but i was probably thinking of my favorite song off the album and thats what i typed
@@juggalonumber27 yes, great track that one. Played it in cover bands:)
I love Psychotron riff, so badass
Hello from New England..Dave Mustain has said in many interviews this song is about his drug use and the resulting collapse of his mental health..He said he would black out for days and then literally wake up with blood stains on his body and didn't know where they came from..Love Mustain or hate him he's an OG metal warrior and has been thru some heavy stuff..Peace...
I m pretty sure that's part of it but I thought Schizophrenia and multi personality were themes in b he song.
Yeah you guys gotta watch the official video next 🤘
Hahaha the on both your faces when the lyrics kicked in remind me of when I played this cd for the first time to my friends in h.s. they had the se look like ftw?
Was a very popular song when it was released. The actual video of it is cool.
truly a masterpiece but then again most there music is
One of my favorite metal songs of all time, let alone one of my favorites by Megadeth.
This is a fun song. Both to listen to and to play.
