I actually really liked that video. Very satisfying and packed with info. You did a great job describing and filming everything I hope you do more of these.
Wow, nice ! I’m in Indiana and bought my 2003 Element new. Now I’ve got 274,000 miles on her. I have had to do work on her over the years but, I STILL have a lot of original parts on it. I just replaced my 3rd windshield washer pump yesterday. It’s VERY rare to see any Elements on the used lots here in Indiana. I love that car, best money I ever spent !
Great video...we just gave our old 2008 Element EX to my daughter who recently started driving. It only has 86k miles so it's in very good shape. I hope she has a great time with it.
Awesome video! I just got a 2003 Element with 189K miles, so I'm starting the restoration process. It'd be helpful if you had links to the parts/products you use.
Great video Alex! Covers everything you need to do with your ‘new’ old Element. Should be a must see for anyone thinking buying one. I too like the voice over which makes the video a lot more concise.
Change my mind! Har. i'm purchasing a 2004 Orange AWD from a mechanic's shop. Had never driven one of these before today. My emotionally favorite vehicle was a 1984 Bronco 2. I liked the boxiness and glass for visibility. The one I drove was an improvement on the things that I liked about the Bonco 2--sturdy and much better wheel base. Those Bronco 2s would get your toes curling on the curves sometimes! Thanks for the vid. The one I'm getting needs some interior llc. being used as a shop vehicle
I owned an 03...not Hondas best year for this vehicle...by I still loved it. Glad you gave some love back to that 05. You did a really nice job.👍 I'd really like to find one in good condition, but in my neck of the woods they're all eaten by rust. Great job!
Awesome video! My ‘08 SC has 478,000 miles on it, so far. Did you also swap out your power steering fluid? I turkey baste it out (from the reservoir) and swap in new fluid about every 6 months. Make more Element vids!
Wow you did an amazing job! This is exactly how I restore cars as well I did this to all my cars. Suspension is like my go to thing if the engine is good or fine I redo suspension cause no one every changes those components. Very nice and satisfying to watch.
My 03 element is in the shop and I miss her 😢so I’ve been watching really cool and informative Element videos and I just realized most of them are yours 😂so I subscribed!
Those k24a3 engines are bullet proof. Basic maintenance and it will last forever. One thing i have learned about Honda manual transmissions is, they seem to work best with Honda brand transmission fluid. Cool cars. :edit: just noticed yours was automatic = why the fluid was red.
Excellent Video. Question about the StrongArm 4351 hatch struts: IF you have the Honda Element rear spoiler, will the extra 3 inches of lift cause the hatch to hit the spoiler?
Pretty heavy hammer there at the end for over 200K miles. Looks like a great, enjoyable ride now that you have worked it over. I just checked pricing on one in my are (mid-west).. with over 100K miles, $11,000 dollars. You sir, got a great deal.
Nice work! Gives me some inspiration since my Blue and Silver 2005 needs much of this. I just received my front control arms, but will now order ball joints and tie rods and use this video as my check list of other things to do. Thanks
Thanks for the great video. I have an '05, 5-speed, Sunset Orange Element with just under 200K miles. Just like yours, but without the filthy interior (yuck!). Can you tell me please what the "10-cent" method is for the dash lights? Also, those seat covers. I assume they allow the side airbags to deploy in an accident, right? Many thanks, again, and nice job. I've camped in my "Steel tent" all over the West and just love her 'till death do us part. Enjoy yours!
Do you know how to remove the rubber flooring on an Element. I want to check for rust. I live in Florida and have had to comb my Element to clean, remove, seal for rust.
I think you can still get similar ones on Amazon. They don’t have the “h” cutout though. This one is at least 10 years old it’s been passed around a lot
Great video! Very informative. How much time and money did you put in here? Still driving my 05 with 275k on it. Getting to the age I am starting to have to replace things wearing out. Gaskets, seals and struts and the like. Hope to make it run forever but if Honda still made them I would buy it today!
I have an odd question for this community. I have an 11' element and at about 75 mph you can hear a chirping sort of sound , it sounds like wind noise buzzing something to me but nothing mechanical seems to be a miss. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I actually really liked that video. Very satisfying and packed with info. You did a great job describing and filming everything I hope you do more of these.
Thank you! I think I have enough from my black EX and SC to do another vid like this
@@AlexKolipinski Great work and inspiring. What year is your black Ex? Mine is 2003, MT, 170k miles
My brother just gave me his Honda Element with 170 thousand miles. I'm am currently fixing it little at a time. This video is very helpful. Thank You
Wow, nice !

It's always nice to see someone take care of their damn car for once!
Awesome video! I just got a 2003 Element with 189K miles, so I'm starting the restoration process. It'd be helpful if you had links to the parts/products you use.
Welcome to the club. Look up element 44 and robdeze they have lots of stuff
Well done. This is a great rundown of everything you should check on a "new" Element
If anyone can get an Element to 1,000,000 it’s Alex Kolipinski! Go Alex Kolipinski! GO!
Great video Alex! Covers everything you need to do with your ‘new’ old Element. Should be a must see for anyone thinking buying one. I too like the voice over which makes the video a lot more concise.
Thank you so much man. IMA change my trans fluid and rear case fluid. I thought it would be harder but no it is easy. Thank youuuu
Love that kind of project. Very therapeutic.
God save the Element! ✊ There will never be another car like this.
Love it. I did many of the same things to my neglected 2005. I can especially relate to the nasty interior cleaning.

Alex I am in awe of all you did. Am pretty sure it is mine but not positive. Sorry I've not been able to reach you by phone, I know you're busy.--Joe

I'm so envious of your find. We never got the Element in the UK but I still consider it the perfect vehicle...a proper all-rounder.
Nice work.

I have a Honda Stepwgn which is also a great versatile Honda from the Japanese Domestic Market. Nice to see your Element being revived! Enjoy.
I thought I had the only good looking 2005 blue and silver Element. I like your idea of spraying undercoat. Good video. Enjoy your toaster!
Nice..I need help with all the tunes up. Wish I can do that too..
Wow you did an amazing job! This is exactly how I restore cars as well I did this to all my cars. Suspension is like my go to thing if the engine is good or fine I redo suspension cause no one every changes those components. Very nice and satisfying to watch.
great job
Good job replacing the rear diff fluid. Many people overlook this, old fluid will cause a strange knock noise in the rear when turning.

"Hi speed run" and Honda Element should never be used in the same sentence. Lol, Enjoyed the Vid, good info. pick up my 07 SC this weekend!
Such a relaxing video 👍
Great video! I love my 2005 also!
Excellent Video.
Question about the StrongArm 4351 hatch struts:

nicely done, looks like a lotta work but it paid off big time!
Looks great!
Good on yah doooood! Great stuff. Elements are the best!
Good stuff!
Ha, Elements are so stinkin slow.. . . especially in Lithuania.
Wow you did such a great restoration on your car I hope to find a Honda element low miles soon to do the same love this car
Great job sir!
You did good. The best job is doing it yourself.

Only use 555 ball joints. All other brands will fail in a year or two

Loved this video
Great job on the Element! Thank you for this video, very informative. =)
You should have AT LEAST 10k Subs!
Not bad at all, I do enjoy your videos
This was an amazing video. Great job
What bulbs did you replace the original ones with? I'd like to get some for my fathers car.
Draining differential fluid: If you remove the drain first, THEN the upper, you won't get gushed on.
I’m gonna do this style video with my RAV4. Much easier to film first and do a voice over afterwards.
Do you know how to remove the rubber flooring on an Element.
I want to check for rust.
I live in Florida and have had to comb my Element to clean, remove, seal for rust.
Any issues putting 225/75/16 tires? Its a stock suspension? No lift?
Great vid!
hello nice video. are you interested in seling one of your rebuilt elements.
I probably need everything and more done to my element still runs but man it’s time to throw down some chedda
Great job !!! I have lots of questions. Any way to contact you?
How much would you say you put into the Element after purchase?
Let the Vtec kick innnnn
I caught that 3 inches joke at 4:38 😂
Awesome!
Thanks for sharing, I like the engine sound , where I can find the grill cover thing ? And welcome to Mexico :)
I think you can still get similar ones on Amazon. They don’t have the “h” cutout though. This one is at least 10 years old it’s been passed around a lot
love this content! learned a ton! hopefully picking up a unicorn soon… facebook marketplace is a tough competition ground lol
How much did all of the
suspension parts amount to ?
Great video! Very informative. How much time and money did you put in here?

I didn’t add everything up, but probably around $1000 including the alignment
What’s the $.10 method to fix the dash lights?
Putting 2 nickels under the main connector. This forces the connector up to regain electrical contact!
@@AlexKolipinski Nice! That would make an excellent short, Thanx!
you can adjust the camber?
Valve cover gasket?
That coolant doesn’t look like water. Alex just made up an excuse for the yellow liquid bottle in his garage. 😂
😂😂 it’s still in the bottle sitting outside. When it gets below 30 degrees it’s frozen solid haha
I have an odd question for this community. I have an 11' element and at about 75 mph you can hear a chirping sort of sound , it sounds like wind noise buzzing something to me but nothing mechanical seems to be a miss.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Where did you get the seat covers?
Junkyard but you can still get them new at the Honda dealer
What is the 10 second fix for the dash lights?
Ten cents
Stick 2 nickels on the bottom side of the connector to raise it up
Takes less than 5 minutes!
I will try that!!
Wait, where is the connector?
Hey Alex where are you frommmmmm how can i hire you LOL
Hahahah! Awesome story telling.
I'm trying to find my first Element
The best thing you did for your Element was under coat the underside.
I work in a mechanic shop and my armrests are that dirty in my Mazda. Lol.
Hee hee! OK for a mechanic, not so much for a secratary
Cerakote is magic stuff..
Will you be my Element mechanic? 😃
“Tíajuana”
Don't worry, they're just McStains...
Can I buy your car please?
try rock auto
HOW MANY RPMS @ 80!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!
A lot lol
