He described how mainstream popularity has convoluted what the music represented and has decontextualized it with its different regional varieties i.e. "UK Drill" and "Brooklyn Drill."

In the earliest part of the drill scene King Louie was very influential/popular, he was talked about like Chief Keef in early 2012.. He doesn't really get his props for what he did for drill music.

King Louie always been a favorite of mine. He was cool as hell too. I used to talk to him on snap and one time he recorded a snap of me and my grandma in the car playin made drill and uploaded it to his story. He’s a solid stand up guy.
