sure warrants to check this engine , burning oil , no doubt , engine will have to be replaced better sooner than later , some nice unexpected surprises over the years !

Ostend back in 2000 is like mini Soviet airport in Western EU! Beauties parked everywhere

exactly , unique situation till 2002 , only airport with so many Ilyushins in Europe , just as with legendary 707 and 8 freighters , twilight years for superb sounds

@@paulconner9354 indeed , April 2002 : final curtain for Soloviov engined 76's , we did have a few relief flight related missions ( Soloviov ) , i due time some PS90 engined visited Ostend , btw Ostend was the last airport in W Europe permitting 76 to land over here , noise regulations banned this type as mentioned

@@patrickvereecke6654 stupid politicians and their rules. By the way- excellent videos of all the old classics. We had loads of 707s freighters in for service at Southend airport up until early 2000s

3:01 I find it interesting that the plane's type was written in Ukrainian.
Most other IL-76s had their type identifiers written in either Russian or English on their noses, regardless of operator country.
