How is the low end pedal assist? I want something where I can still get a good workout pedaling and I probably won't be going over 15 mph very often. I just don't want the pedal assist to be too strong.
If it's off, oh boy it's a workout lol it's harder than a stairmaster. But on the Eco mode which is the lowest pedal assist, you'll get a good workout with the gear being above 5. It gives you enough of a push to where you feel the difference but if you hit a hill, you'll break a sweat. Now if you have it on Sport you won't break a sweat at all even on hills and I rode the bike on Sport for a few days straight and then rode it yesterday on Eco and definitely felt how my legs got used to the ease haha! Hope that helps.
I found at slower speeds, less than 15 miles an hour, the eco-mode (the lowest setting) is too powerful. I just compensate that by turning it off when I'm on the flats. I find the bike moves OK when the motor is turned off but you're not gonna win any races. I am hoping that you'll be able to apply a firmware update in the future to allow you to adjust the torque down on Eco mode. The brakes could definitely be better but you just got to account for that when you're riding. I haven't yet tried to slam on the brakes to see how quickly it stops
@@steveareeno65 It's a very powerful motor with this specific model. It's great for hauling stuff and getting around without breaking. sweat but I can see why it's too much power too lol I've taken some risks riding this on some steep hills and the brakes did the job but I wouldn't risk it again. I was going like 15-20mph and the brakes were pressing very hard. Hope you find a good model that is better suited!
great review. Squeaky brakes can be just greasy, just use brake cleaner and should be fine. Other than that, tha other issue might be brake pads. You can use organic pads, that will not squak, but there will be lower brake performance
