You say it is "old school" but I consider that an understatement for Haitus Kaiyote - they're a genre of their own... Some classify them as "neo-soul" that would perhaps be a better classification. And the video does not start "weird" so much. More like "unique". Nai is a highly eccentric musician, and guess doesn't try too much to adapt and fit into conventions en preconceptions of how clips and music "should" be made... ;-) Great that you resonated with her soul and charisma immediately, though!
