Fun show! I hope Pete realizes what a great team he has! You are the best!? You are actually out in the parks and eat where most park guests eat so showing us things and describing tge menus etc keep us up to date.
One thing I think rarely gets mentioned on The DIS about Yak and Yeti (as well as Rainforest and T-Rex) is the magic of the Landry card. We love Yak and Yeti because sometimes we just get too hot, we didn’t plan on a table reservation, and the Landry card gets us in anyway.
Panda, we miss you already.

What I've noticed more and more is that Disney is catering to two taste preferences: hot and spicy, or bland and tasteless. There is nothing in between. So, for people like me who can't eat or tolerate spicy food, it's basic puck burgers ... or nothing! I will say that I had the BBQ chicken salad at Flame Tree when we came over to Disney last month, and that was delicious. However, even the salads these days are hot and spicy - or covered in ranch (which again I can't eat).

I am obsessed with Nomad lounge and I normally spend only 3/4 of a day at AK on my average 8 or 9 day trip so I don’t try much else. I do like Satu’li Canteen and Pongu Pongu. Normally though a Joffrey’s stop in the morning and waiting for Nomad Lounge to open is all I do. I guess I need to maybe spend more time there to expand my horizons on the food

I’d love to try Tiffins for a treat and would choose Tusker House as my eat. I’ve not tried Yak and Yetti quick serve, but would hands down pick Satuli for eat.
😋100% Eat for Satuli Canteen and Tusker House (this is always my first choice as a hard core character dining lover 😍). My treat would be Tiffins and Flame Tree Barbecue. Trash the Rest, but especially Pizzafari. 🤣 I just can't with the 🏒 burgers and bubble pizza (😏 that's just wrong), and I've just never understood the love for Yak and Yeti🤷♀️. The decor is pretty cool, but the food not so much.
The inmates are running the asylum and I'm loving it.

I agree with Craig's order of these first comparisons, but I agree with all of you on the Pizza place (Flame Tree would be my every day).

Three loves ❤❤❤’s from all of us,and also a great show…You’re knowledgeable and funny..We also have been hearing from many people that the Animal Kingdom doesn’t have enough restaurants. It would be great if Disney would add more upscale ( it’s a shame the AK Lodge isn’t walking distance to the park) dining..and fix or tweak the menu at Yak and Yeti..They have the name, now get really creative or borrow an Imagineer for the day…to add to the menu..( Hamburgers are great,tho.)…we miss ya,Pete..thanks.

Flame tree does have good bbq, maybe not dry rub style like Texas, but it isn't supposed to be. That doesn't mean people are "basic" for liking it. Eesh.
I just ate at yak yeti the sit down,on our last trip. The server was very slow awful and it took two and a half hours to get our food and eat. The food was great when we did. I would return with a different server.I would like to try Tusker house eventually.

Erica, can you answer the question of how spicy the spicy plant based option is? I can take mild spice, but I'm afraid it'll be too spicy. I usually go to Yak & Yeti table service. Since they took away the delicious orange chicken from the quick service side, it just makes me sad. 😢
Hi! Yes so the burger to me wasn’t spicy. The spicy comes from the sauce so order the sauce on the side if you can. To me it was a very mild spicy.
Braai is pronounced “Brie” (long I) and doesn’t refer to spices used but a general term for wood fire bbq in Africa ❤
My three favs - thanks all! So I've never been to Animal Kingdom (haven't been to WDW in a long time) - how many days should I spend at AK and where should I eat each day? I know I'll spend 1 day at Epcot, 1 day at Hollywood and 1 day at MK but each of those is because I know which three things I want to do at each park and I know where I want to eat at each of those parks.
Rainforest cafe is in Animal Kingdom, right? I will be there in a couple months and I'm looking for sit down food options that can be reserved.
I mean what is the age difference between Craig and Ryno? I know every one of those jingles and I feel like Craig and I have to be around the same age... 19:30

I think Satu'li Canteen was a missed option on here. We went there the last time we were at the parks and overlooked for years, but it's now going to be a must stop everytime we're in Animal Kingdom.
Satu'li was in the second round of QS and is arguably the most hyped up QS on Disney property, it is far from overlooked.

Honestly I don't eat at AK QS or the sit downs that often because the kiosk food is so good. Plus we don't spend a ton of time there and it always winds up being a half day park for us. For sit down I have to disagree with all 3 of you and my eat would be Yak & Yeti. Those tuna nachos are so good and they have a generic kids menu. I've always wanted to try Tiffins, but my kids would never eat what's on the kids menu. Yeah they eat steak and chicken, but probably not the sauces or glazes and I hate making a restaurant modify my order.
Can we replace this show with Off the Rails?
I do hope that comes back.
