Transformation: From GM plant to major TV & movie studio complex

The history of the site of the General Motors plant in Doraville, Ga. is a fascinating one. The plant closed in 2008, sold to a development team in 2014, and is now on track to become a 135-acre mixed-use community with state-of-the-art television and movie production studios. Long-term plans include a boutique hotel, townhomes, apartments, and entertainment venues.
