Definitely reminded me of my KOSH FISK arrival in a Mooney M20J years ago. Great idea keeping the auto pilot on. Scary moment with the unexpected 172 flyover your cockpit. I remember having to constantly scan for my altitude and air speed, as to not run over the 172 the guy in front of me. Thanks for sharing, great video.
On first quick watch I thought you put it down on the Purple; had to watch a second time and pay attention to your gear to see you flew down to Yellow. Nice job! Enjoy the vids, wish I was there! :D
10:10 Highwing above you does not appear to be 2300 at 135 knots... probably never saw traffic below... wondering what instruments he has... maybe a compass and a radio?
I am kind of surprised by how much noise you are picking up on the audio with the RPM changes. I'm hoping as we build that we can knock out a lot of the noise. Any thoughts on where it might be coming from and what you would do differently when building to make it better?
I notice this as well in the recorded audio but can’t hear it in my headset. I suspect it’s related to ground loops between the GoPro power and the audio input.
I had pulled up flightradar24 & liveatc and was watching the long line of traffic. Watched an RV break away between Ripon and Pickett and head straight east until due south of runway 36 where he cleanly inserted himself.
@@bottomshot4546 I watched that as well and grabbed a screen shot - I think he knew the procedure but he had been turned back at FISK once already and didn't want to risk getting turned back again as many were getting turned around due to spacing at that time. In fact, I saw a number of pilots do that maneuver - break east around Pickett and wander to the east and then slide in to the 36 arrivals. Not safe.
Your audio has a lot of wine in it. I like the video but it was distracting. Do you hear it in your headset the whole flight or is it just on the video audio?
Maybe I shouldn't put this out there but I'll shame the guy so you dont have to. Reviewing Flightradar it appears the plane that went right over you was a Glasair Glasair registered to Richard L King of Amelia Ohio, N12YR. Immediately past you he was doing about 40 knots more than you were.
Nice job! I know it’s hard but some of us appreciate you.
Hello from Minnesota!! Great episode!! See you at Oshkosh!!
When FISK calls you out by tail number, you done messed up!

Great video sir! Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I wish I was at Oshkosh this year :-(
Thanks for sharing 🥳👍
That Cessna probably didn’t know it almost caused a mid-air when it blew through the line.
No, but they were doing 120kts in the 90kt lane. If they had been following the instructions it wouldn’t have been an issue :(

Good rock :)
Ironically I think I said the same thing you did at the exact same time when that plane flew over you...
First video in 200+ that I had to bleep…
Someone is gonna die one of these days on that arrival bc of stupid stuff like that. I would have had to bleep out way more words than you.

HI, go around to the Avilution booth behind the Honda Jet booth and tell my boss I (joe) sent you over there. we do avionics software.
those poor guys at the 20:06 mark are parked waaaayyyy far out there!
Hah, I never had my 7a towed by a tractor..:)
There were a lot of planes that just did whatever they wanted to do.

That's because they don't read the NOTAMs for OSH arrivals.

If you have to do S turns, go back to the start. You hear the controllers say that constantly.
The S turns we’re before joining the procedure. It’s south of the Green Lake entry point.
Endeavour bridge is the start of the procedure, not Green Lake.@@BuildFlyGo
Do you have a schedule for when you're at your plane?
Not really but happy to meet folks there. I’m just walking around.
@@BuildFlyGo I'm just sitting across from it. No hurry to move.
I’m in the Conti booth
@@BuildFlyGo didn't get the alert. You still around there? I'm there now
This isn't a great way to meet up, is it. I need to head for shelter and some water. Maybe pick a time to meet tomorrow.

Just in the audio. I think it’s a ground loop between the GoPro power and audio inputs.

@@surebrah I don't. It's easy enough to find though. If memory serves me right its at or before Fisk and is impossible to miss.
I never saw the RR tracks.
