    I have a 2003 Chevy Blazer. Difference was that my compressor wasn't turning on even after I started to charge it....I used the paper clip trick and it kicked on. After it was fully charged, I pulled the paper clip out of the relay and put in the original piece....air works amazingly! I was told I would need a new compressor and would be very costly....appreciate this video very much, thank you!!!! I got cold air! Starting to get hot nearing July!

      I did the paper clip trick, and the wiring started sparking, popping noise and smoking!!! I jumped the relay the correct way though, not sure what's going on, not good.

    There are pressure switches on the AC system that will shut it off and on. If I'm not mistaken I'm working on a 95 Blazer now

    That compressor sounds like it is not long for this life. I have same setup on my 2005 Blazer. It doesn't make that 'diesel' knock. Mine just quit from a slow leak. I have a leak seems from the pressure switch o-ring according to darkness UV studies of fluorescent die accumulation. I recharged but it is going down in just 2-3 days. I don't want to depressure the system and throw away expensive refrigerant so I may try to seal the atmospheric part of the screw on connector beyond the o-ring with some silicone tape around the outside and a hose clamp squeeze. My switch has a brass metal interface, not plastic. Might work. This is easily removable anytime, unlike a doughnut of JB Weld.
    BTW, you could have saved possible pump damage by simply adding refrigerant without hot wiring the compressor clutch. It would have come on by itself.

    Kinda jealous of the 4x4 manual this is what I need in my life I ended up just jumping my low pressure sensor instead of the relay because my ac compressor would run for a second and cut off the clutch would engage then disengage after bypassing the low pressure sensor it works fine but I wasted freon because the compressor wasn't running when I tried loading the refrigerant the first time

    That's called cycling. It's not supposed to run all the time, otherwise the pressures go way to high and things come apart. So if you jump that low pressure switch on the accumulator, it will run your compressor constantly while you charge your system. But your a.c. is working correctly in the 1st place. Most likely just low on Freon. 40-45psi for 134a works well.

      How do you jump that low pressure switch?

    • @johnsont963
      @johnsont963 11 месяцев назад

      that's the easiest place to jump it at accumulator...

    I have a 99 blazer, my clutch sounds like that, but it clicks on n off like every 15 seconds or so?? I used a 12oz can, mine had a green pop up thing, i filled till the pop up think was solid when clutch was on. I git cold air, but the clips didnt turn blue or green?? It said if the pop up was up its supposed to be full?? Idk…i had. New compressor put in like 7 yrs ago, i dont even drive 5’000 miles a year…why its rattling idk, shouldn’t they last longer than that??

    So after you do this did it fix the problem for good?

      It fixes it unless there is a leak that needs addressed.

    Man my 2008 blazer the compressor is way at the bottom of the engine. This would have been so much easier

    It is meant to do that. DO NOT DO THE BYPASS. Fix it correctly and understand the system or do not touch it. You will start a damn electrical fire.
