Peeta is strong because his family are bakers, so carrying all the flour and such like that made him strong. It doesn't go over it much in the films, but I've read the books. A very good read.
The dog things in the book were described as looking like the other district tributes who had been killed in that hunger games. Genetically mutated and so on.
In the books, the mutts at the end actually symbolise the fallen tributes of those games, they had the eyes of the fallen tributes and their fur was the same colour as the tributes hair.

And in the end of the book she told him that she was pretending to be in love and he is heartbroken right now but still loves her the same way. And one more thing^ moviemakers did Peeta weak, dirty, like stalker vibes and all of it, but in the book he was funny, selfless, smart and rly strong and it was rly beatiful how he was telling about how he fell in love with her. And btw all the money from sponsor for Peeta Haymitch used for Katniss, bcs he saw that Peeta trying to help Katniss win. She is starting to fall in love with Peeta but she doesnt understand what the feelings she has towards him cuz she never loved anyone in that way bcs she scared of being in love and she doesn`t like to show emotions. Yes, all through the night until morning. Until Peeta was finally like, ‘can you mercy shoot him?’ And she was like ‘I only have 1 arrow left...’ but manages it finally. Even cato was like lile ‘please...(kill me)’. The dogs were described so much scarier in the books, like freaky werewolves with the facial features of the dead tributes! Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) was such a great character. My favorite in the movie series in fact. The performance was understated in a movie which had many outlandish performances (not in a bad way). Cinna was compassionate, empathetic, and kind.

in the book, katniss actually doesn't get the mockingjay pin from the old woman. her friend madge, the mayors daughter, gives it to her as a gift. also the pin used to belong to madge's aunt maysilee, who died in the hungergames that haymitch won. they were allies before her death. this makes more sense than the old, poor woman just giving away a pin. madge is the mayors daughter, so her family has money, and the pin is an heirloom from a relative lost in the hungergames, given as a good luck gift for a friend who also has to go into the hungergames.

You really ought to feel bad for Cato if you think about it for long enough. He's a kid too. He was groomed from birth by his entire society to willingly throw himself into a death match (to the point that it's "all [he] knows how to do") just for the chance to get his District some extra food (which is the main benefit for a District having a winning tribute) as well as glory. Cato is a particularly tragic figure because of all the Career tributes he's the only one who actually figures this out. The name Cato means "All Knowing" and of every tribute he is the only one who properly grasps what he was and what the games are really for. It also helps that in the books you see him begging Clove (knife girl) not to die and crying over her corpse. Remember they thought they could go home together too.
You are the first reactor I've seen who appreciated Caesar Flickerman's (Blue Haired Dude's) genuine attempts to help every tribute shine. In the books, Katniss makes note of it as well. Nice catch!

You should really read the book since you seem to have enjoyed the movie! I love the movie, but it lacks Katniss’ constant inner monologue, which adds a TON to her character.
The reason Gale's name is in there 42 times is because each year your name get re-enter into the pot so if your 12 you have 1 entry if your 18 you have 6. You can get a year worth of some food supplies for one person if you enter your name again. You can do this for your whole family. Gale has a mother and sisters to support.
Another thing they don't tell you in the movie. The kid who is guarding the supply pile, the only reason that the guard was alive was he knew was the kne who planted the mine field for the careers. He had the only map to safely get to the supply pile. That's why Cato kills him.. he was no longer useful.
6:37 it's done in the 12th district at funerals, it's way to pay respect to the memory of the deceased one (explained in the book). That gives this scene even a darker tone.

Katniss and Gale hunt illegaly because their district is too poor for have bread. So they exchange this with others things. About the tributes' âge, they can be choose for the Hunger Games from 12 years old until the age of 18 years old. In the book, Katniss become deaf of one ear after the explosion of the food

The sign the give in district 12 is a sign of respect and a goodbye to someone you love. It's not a commonly used sidn normally only used a funerals. It was a big deal to her that they did that for her because they could have gotten in trouble for doing that insead if clapping. They were supposed to clap like it was a celebration. In districts 1 and 2 many people volunteer and they win almost every year so it was a big deal that she volunteered because no one ever does. As said in the books blood only goes so far on reaping day.
A movies recommendation: The secret life of Walter mitty. It may seem weird at first, but after those weird 2 minutes its explained, and that's not his the rest of what the films is, its just a clever joke. The movie has amazing cinematography, filled with subtle humor, and not so subtle humor, that still manages to get a bunch of laughs out of me even on my 100th watch. Its a film I adore, with great acting, a great story, and a wonderful message, filled with adventure, fun, and it all comes together into one beautiful piece of art that we humans do not deserve

the reason haymitch is an alcoholic is when he was in the games it was the 50th and to honor the anniversary they reaped TWICE the children and IDK how many kills he got but the finale was him vs a girl from another district coming at him with a weapon he dodged it it bounced off something and caught her square in the face the games traumatize most champions/survivors one you hear of in the next movie and meet later survivors cause she was good at hiding and it ended with a flood and the others couldn't swim he sleeps with a knife under his pillow from the PTSD

The ages are 12-18 so the older you get the more food you 'borrow' and the more times your name gets put in the bucket, and since it's age restricted it's limited as to who even qualifies to volunteer. It's only the first for District 12.
Haymitch won his game by using the barrier of the arena. Haymitch and the final tribute fought and he was badly wounded but was able to take one of her eyes and led her to the edge of the arena where she threw her axe at him but he dodged it and when it her the arena's force field it bounced back and killed her. The capitol didn't like that (I guess they saw it as cheating, I don't remember) so they killed his entire family and girlfriend, that along with 24 years of seeing children come and go while not being able to do anything to help them attributed to his alcholism. He was also in the Quarter Quell and instead of 24 it was 48 tributes

Rue and Cinna are literally the best characters ever in this whole movieverse. If anyone deserved to live, then it’s them.

It makes me so happy that you haven’t like, heard what happens in the movies so for you it’s completely fresh whereas for a lot of people they kind of already knew what would happen at the end because people have talked about it being as the movie is from 2012
personally I feel bad for all those who die in this games even the most rotten of them because they are teenage kids who grew up in this twisted world of games as if their lives were worthless and that it start to become important only if it participates in this twisted games
I think you should watch the next Hunger Games, which is Catching Fire. It’s one of my favorite movies because of how it teaches us to treat each other the same, and never go against each other. I am new here, so thank you for letting me in. 🤗
Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) was such a great character. My favorite in the movie series in fact. The performance was understated in a movie which had many outlandish performances (not in a bad way). Cinna was compassionate, empathetic, and kind.

Okay so the reaping system works by as you get older they put your name in more times and if you by extra food from the government they put your name in more times depending on how much and since older kids like Gale have a big family he puts its name in more often to to help provide.

in the book, katniss actually doesn't get the mockingjay pin from the old woman. her friend madge, the mayors daughter, gives it to her as a gift. also the pin used to belong to madge's aunt maysilee, who died in the hungergames that haymitch won. they were allies before her death. this makes more sense than the old, poor woman just giving away a pin. madge is the mayors daughter, so her family has money, and the pin is an heirloom from a relative lost in the hungergames, given as a good luck gift for a friend who also has to go into the hungergames.

You really ought to feel bad for Cato if you think about it for long enough. He's a kid too. He was groomed from birth by his entire society to willingly throw himself into a death match (to the point that it's "all [he] knows how to do") just for the chance to get his District some extra food (which is the main benefit for a District having a winning tribute) as well as glory.
Cato is a particularly tragic figure because of all the Career tributes he's the only one who actually figures this out. The name Cato means "All Knowing" and of every tribute he is the only one who properly grasps what he was and what the games are really for.
It also helps that in the books you see him begging Clove (knife girl) not to die and crying over her corpse. Remember they thought they could go home together too.
You are the first reactor I've seen who appreciated Caesar Flickerman's (Blue Haired Dude's) genuine attempts to help every tribute shine. In the books, Katniss makes note of it as well. Nice catch!

You should really read the book since you seem to have enjoyed the movie! I love the movie, but it lacks Katniss’ constant inner monologue, which adds a TON to her character.
The reason Gale's name is in there 42 times is because each year your name get re-enter into the pot so if your 12 you have 1 entry if your 18 you have 6. You can get a year worth of some food supplies for one person if you enter your name again. You can do this for your whole family. Gale has a mother and sisters to support.
Another thing they don't tell you in the movie. The kid who is guarding the supply pile, the only reason that the guard was alive was he knew was the kne who planted the mine field for the careers. He had the only map to safely get to the supply pile. That's why Cato kills him.. he was no longer useful.
6:37 it's done in the 12th district at funerals, it's way to pay respect to the memory of the deceased one (explained in the book). That gives this scene even a darker tone.

District 12: Katniss and Peeta
District 2: Clove (knives girl) and Cato
I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but in the book the dogs (mutant creations of the capital) were made TO RESEMBLE THE DEAD TRIBUTES to the point that Katniss wonders if they used the actual body parts of the tributes, including Rue, to make them. So it wasn't just a pack of angry dogs, it doubled as psychological torture.
In the first book I felt so bad for haymitch especially after they explain that he had to watch every tribute die
Katniss and Gale hunt illegaly because their district is too poor for have bread. So they exchange this with others things.
About the tributes' âge, they can be choose for the Hunger Games from 12 years old until the age of 18 years old.

The sign the give in district 12 is a sign of respect and a goodbye to someone you love. It's not a commonly used sidn normally only used a funerals. It was a big deal to her that they did that for her because they could have gotten in trouble for doing that insead if clapping. They were supposed to clap like it was a celebration. In districts 1 and 2 many people volunteer and they win almost every year so it was a big deal that she volunteered because no one ever does. As said in the books blood only goes so far on reaping day.

A movies recommendation: The secret life of Walter mitty. It may seem weird at first, but after those weird 2 minutes its explained, and that's not his the rest of what the films is, its just a clever joke. The movie has amazing cinematography, filled with subtle humor, and not so subtle humor, that still manages to get a bunch of laughs out of me even on my 100th watch. Its a film I adore, with great acting, a great story, and a wonderful message, filled with adventure, fun, and it all comes together into one beautiful piece of art that we humans do not deserve

im pretty sure that in the books when cato died, katniss couldnt actually get a clear shot because it was so dark. the mutts tortured him all night until the sun came up and katniss could end his suffering...

the reason haymitch is an alcoholic is when he was in the games it was the 50th and to honor the anniversary they reaped TWICE the children and IDK how many kills he got but the finale was him vs a girl from another district coming at him with a weapon he dodged it it bounced off something and caught her square in the face the games traumatize most champions/survivors one you hear of in the next movie and meet later survivors cause she was good at hiding and it ended with a flood and the others couldn't swim

The ages are 12-18 so the older you get the more food you 'borrow' and the more times your name gets put in the bucket, and since it's age restricted it's limited as to who even qualifies to volunteer. It's only the first for District 12.
So no-one is 10 years old, despite how many times he says it.
Haymitch won his game by using the barrier of the arena. Haymitch and the final tribute fought and he was badly wounded but was able to take one of her eyes and led her to the edge of the arena where she threw her axe at him but he dodged it and when it her the arena's force field it bounced back and killed her. The capitol didn't like that (I guess they saw it as cheating, I don't remember) so they killed his entire family and girlfriend, that along with 24 years of seeing children come and go while not being able to do anything to help them attributed to his alcholism. He was also in the Quarter Quell and instead of 24 it was 48 tributes
This was the first and only Hunger Games movie I saw.

Over time the 3 finger salut has become more and more a symbol for protest movements for example in Myanmar. They took the symbol from Hunger Games which is an intresting fact I think.
