@@Aviatico it's incredible how the brush strokes go away! I've only been able to accomplish that on small pieces.. I spray big pieces. I wouldn't if they turned out like that!
Very nicely done, I would never in a million years consider painting any of my airliners by hand with a brush!! I love the Revell kits I just wish they’d give us other airline options. Something I do to my modern airliners is to glue aluminium wire inside the wings allowing me to bend flex into them - a must for in flight configurations which I usually choose.
This came up in my RUclips suggestions and what a great video. I haven't built any models since I was about 15. Now I'm considering going straight down to my local hobby shop!
Amazing to think people are surprised this is brush painted. Its a forgotten art in the midst of expensive airbrush set ups. This is all we ever knew, brushes, and we got good at using them!
Wow, how you actually painted as if you used areograph. Incredible precision and this details everywhere. Big effort and huge masterpiece. I cannot wait until I buy identical.
Patience and practice, I'm afraid. There's no 'one simple trick Revell doesn't want you to know'. Closest thing to that is five minutes spent with masking tape will save you ten minutes of cleaning up mistakes.
This exact kit is on my bench right now. It's very far from a precision kit. My wings were warped and the fan blades were molded very poorly. I heated the wings in hot water and re-formed them. I'm painting, decaling and clearing the fuselage halves without the windows and then setting them in right before joining. Then, just treat and blend the seam.
Awesome...and not an airbrush to be seen! Was great to see and don't get me wrong but some narrative as to what paint you use and what filler you used would have been awesome too 😃
Excellent work! Very impressive! My only suggestion would have been to use an airbrush or spray paint on that rear section. It would have come out much glossier and smoother, then use a clear dullcoat spray if you don't want a glossy finish.
Excellent!! As others have said the fact you brush painted this and it came out this good is astounding!! What was the filler you used on the fuselage and what decal solution did you use??
Wow! Discovered your channel today and definetely impressed! Keep at it, Aviatico, you have many more subscribers coming in the future that's for sure!
You do good work, but do yourself a huge flavor and get an airbrush. There are two big reasons for this. 1: It'll help your paints look more even and there won't be any brush strokes when it dries. 2: It'll allow you to do multiple layers under and over the decal layer. Why is this important? Because it allows you to use shading, weathering, and paneling effects to bring the model to life. Air brushes aren't cheap, but with your skill level you really are holding yourself back by not using one. The difference between a bristle brush and an airbrush painted model is absolutely night and day. You're very good!
@@Aviatico no problem dude, keep it up! If you want some inspiration and great tips, check out PLASMO here on YT. He does a lot of models of all kinds and both of them do a lot of shading, weathering, and paneling techniques and are very instructive on how he does it so others can learn from him. Good luck!
As a lifetime ADD sufferer, if I tried that, the model would have long since been thrust against the nearest wall in impatient frustration. However, the model is beautiful and your building of it was wonderful. I'd like one, but I'll have to wait and purchase one that is already finished, lol.
Beautiful job! Wish I had the time in my life to build one. Lol. Question, the finish appears to be so smooth for being hand brushed on. What paint did you use???
About 20 years ago I built Lufthansa 747 by Ravell in 1/144 scale. Unfortunately, the glue wasn't strong enough and after about 5 years it started falling apart. So far it has been the only plastic plane model I have built in my adult life. I had done a few as a child but not as complicated as this one.
The fact this person hand painted this model is even more epic it came out perfect
Best brush painted model i have ever seen!
Do u not use brush??
I just use paintbrushes

Revell Aqua Color
Got this in my recommendations and didn't expect much, but damn, I'm speechless. Rarely seen such a great model built only using a brush. Awesome job!
i remember building this when i was 10yo this video brought back so many memories, it was the first model i ever got and i was so excited

Beautiful work.
That's a lot of work. I have a bunch of the 1:200 premade models on display. This would be a nice addition.
Beautiful work on that 😊
I'm new to the channel so Hi! Beautiful construction of the Queen of the Skies!!
Could you do a tutorial on how you brush paint these models so professionally?
amazing job
Thanks! There is no secret I could show you, only a good paintbrush and multiple layers of color are needed
