@@moongaming2778in my +1800 hours with this game I don't recall a single time my team got better after it started arguing. I've won with salty teammates ofc but those games are always gruelling slogs won by the skin of our teeth
@@yoel9396 The thing is your in high lvl lobys, in plat you can always just tell the people that if they cant aim they dont have to and they can always just play pharah. Works just fine to get out of plat.
@@unded1827 I'm not that high honestly just low master and I spent most of my time in gold/plat. In my experience you can ask your team to swap but it's a coin flip whether they'll do it or not but I don't see how that's related to my comment
Literally more damage than both dps combined WITHOUT SHOOTING
The issue with lower ranks is that the dps and healers are used to the tank being close, helping them with pressure, and shielding. Having a ball run ahead feels useless to them.

That's been me playing in plat/diamond. Team 15-20 deaths each, me 5 deaths.
Thats about 4 deaths a minute of feeding.

Honestly this gunless series goes to show that elims and damage arent the most important thing, ball has massive value in displacement and disruption, makes me want to play him more once my new laptop arrives

@@sandr921 but that's not actually the biggest (or at least not the only) value he gives. When he is stalling he takes a lot of damage, makes no elims but it's helping the team a lot. When he boops enemy into a team for quick dispatch, when he is using megapacks to not stress healers and take little to no time for quick return... even ocassional bodyblock, when he doesn't kill can help the team;-;
Damage, elims, death, it's all just a number. Actual usefulness cannot be measured that easily

See this is what I’ve been saying. I’m a ball main, but have hundreds of hours in other tanks. 440 hours in ball though and I’ve always said ball is the hardest in platinum and diamonds because gold through bronze, nobody is good enough to shoot you, and when you are in masters and gm players know how to play with a ball, but platinum players are just bronze players with good mechanics.

I'm a plat player and I get rolled by doomfists all the time, I think people in this elo forget that shooting his block gives him an AOE stun punch.

these are some unreal games. I feel like this series should be required watching material to play comp. It doesn't just teach how to get value on ball but every role because it's also much more obvious who else is getting value or throwing than it usually ever is from one player's perspective.

Im from singapore and got thrown into sydney server yesterday. Told my team i fluctuate 150-200ms. My tank instantly gave up and threw. And this was in gm lobby. Some people just has weak minds we cant avoid it

I’ve been bouncing between plat and diamond ever since ow1. I know it’s most likely just a skill issue but I swear the amount of mid game leavers have increased. I had a guy leave after the first fight because our ana missed 2 shots on him I am not kidding 💀💀

At this ranks ppl usually playing with rein, orisa and stmh else that is creating space by just existing in the frontline and not dying. Theyre not able to play off angle or corners, they need to play with his main tank. It is what it is, they just cant help ball with his dive or do value by kills or damage without feeding

I’m in diamond and I think the main reason is cause of the exact thing chamz mentioned. Team gets forever staggered. Probably cause I like to roll in and cause mayhem before my team arrives, so they rush in and die cause they can’t get in and out like me

I was stuck in plat for wayyy too many seasons but once I got out of plat I instantly climbed up to Diamond 1 which is where I'm currently at right now. Plat is a massive hell hole and its really hard to escape BUT it is possible. Even as the rank I am today I understand that back then there were always things I could've done better or differently but at the same time the teams you get in plat are 100% a coinflip. You either get the team that rolls everyone or the team that is average and just kind of chilling and end up getting rolled.
I've had teammates like this nearly every game this season, Its been so painful. Stuck in plat 2 its madddd

Plat to diamond is pure pain. Your teammates are either completely cracked, or absolute AI that feed their brains out the whole game.

Plat might be the rank with the most skill variance. You'll get 90% accuracy widows with no idea of positioning and you'll get john overwatch in terms of game sense but no aim what so ever and everything in the middle.
Pharah is super common at lower ranks. Nobody can aim properly so Pharah is free SR most of the time.
I wish I could be that uncontested when I play Pharah as the one in the second game
