Indeed it is, pro ably one of the best albums I just adore, like an old hand that understands but talking directly to you. Guiding through not den8grating anyone on the journey it takes us on. Just brilliant and honestly human unlike anything I've ever heard. Cheers Alain and all.
You’re so welcome my man. You know all these songs I’ve never learned to sing Morrissey’s parts to a lot of these tunes so it’s a great test for me. Morrissey is one of or best lyricists ever.
I always hear this song when I'm on the beach, here in Salvador, Brazil. matches a lot. Alain gave Moz the best songs and, well ... to me too. Thanks too much!
Alain, I read your Facebook post that accompanied this video and want to say: you have been very discreet and professional over the years - that is completely understandable, but can I just reassure you that your reaction to the current circumstances the world finds itself in and the sharing of music & stories here and on Twitter etc has been an absolute revelation. It is just incredibly kind and considerate of you to engage with fans of yourself and Moz in the way you currently are. Your humility and talent shine through always. I was on the Rockabilly scene prior to your Moz days and have followed your work ever since. I get the insecurities that can come from sharing your art, but I can honestly say that you shouldn't stop sharing until you feel that you shouldn't yourself - I suspect your audience will enjoy everything you put your mind to. No ass kissing intended! Please be safe, happy and thank you for all the music that's sound tracked my life for many, many years - nothing but respect for you. Peace.
I was ecstatic to see you playing in the Las Vegas shows with Morrissey again!!! Wonderful! You sound great (as always)!!! Truly hope to see you and Moz together at a venue close by
AAAAARRRGGGG!!!! GREAT!! Beautiful song with great lyrics and acid words. I love that part ; "Religions fall Children shelled. Children shelled? THAT´S ALL VERY WELL, but would you Please keep the noise Down low? Because you're waking The lazy sunbathers the lazy sunbathers oh,The lazy sunbathers" And hey Alain ; thanx a lot for the guitar class for beginners like me. Pure ARPEGGIOS master-class. And the most difficult point; your VOICE is great too!! Thanx a lot for this sessions!! Best wishes for you and for all the lazy sunbathers here ,trying to survive COVID 19 and all the hate/racism out there...
Another wonderful song and rendition. I loved the singing on this, by the way. Great to hear something like this in these crazy times of viruses and human craziness.
Ohhh thanks!! This is one of my favourites. Severely under-rated. What a beauty. And played like this it exposed a lot of the song structure which... must admit, I kind of overlooked in the album version.
Love these covers Alain! Any chance you could do King Leer? One of my favorite Moz tracks. And please keep the guitar in frame like on this video, it helps a lot with playing along!
Very much a ballad about the idea of normalizing viol3nce to th point of all out destruction of the world while the complicit nature of those same lazy sun bathers compels them to look away while, the war goes on. Not much has changed in all these years, few things stay the same but I fear the time for lazy sunbathing are over and the power of the sun shall be let loose upon us. I tell you one thing, Alain turned out to be my Morrissey. I always wanted to meet Moz but never have, strange I got on and come to admire Alain just by sheer charm and approachable nature. Cheers and Hail one and all, be well.
Man, this is amazing, I really can't thank you enough for all these gems you are coming to life again. Through your comments I can tell that your thoughts on Moz are good...would it be too much to ask for some jam-like session with him? Just you, your acoustic guitar and his lovely voice? That would be sooooo freaking awesome...
@@alainwhytemusic I agree wholeheartedly as you wrote some great stuff especially in Vauxhall and I, cheers Alain. Hope to see you again soon may Be at Chaos records.
Great performance Alain!, really sweet version bud. Any chance of doing ' Best friend on the payroll ',plz. Moz singled you out for high praise on that song, saying the way you shadowed the main vocal with yours was the stand out moment on the Southpaw album - but you weren't given the recognition due at the time . Especially the line "more breakfast in bed and I'll bring the paper in later" , well I definitely noticed that mate so you were very appreciated dude I gaurantee that!! - trust me your intertwining vocals were always spot on, that's something Morrissey misses sorely, I can assure you. Anyway thanks mate!
Lazy Sunbathers, Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself, Hated for Loving ... such great songs from a great album. superb style, thank you.
Great guitar and vocals, and a lovely song to melt my heart, thank you Alain 👌
Rediscovered this song via Adam Barrett. Thank you Alain. Thank you Adam.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but why wasn’t this gem ever played live??
