One of the best uses of television I've experienced. Great story-telling, great photography, and simply amazing people and places.
The two best reporters on the planet. Gonna miss them so much.
The theme song to 4 Country Reporter has been stuck in my head for exactly the same number of years.
52 years?!! I am a country girl, but from and live in Southern California. I found you years ago on RUclips. Thank you for your history and travel lessons!! God bless you greatly in these later years. ❤🙏🙏🙏
I arrived in Texas in 1978 at the age of 18. I always watched and loved these shows. You opened so many parts of Texas to me that I might never have known about.
One can drive around Texas for years and never see the same place twice.
I wasn't born in Texas but got here as soon as I could.
Thank you.
My favorite show will never be the same! Yall will be GREATLY missed! Bob, from the DQ blizzard days to now, you are the best!

This video says it all. Thank you Bob & Kelli.
30 years ago, I was 15. I worked for Dr. John Vardiman in Beaumont. I worked two summers for him maintaining his property and assisting him every chance I got on his boat. I left Docs' and went on to pursue more adult line of work and start my career in the steel construction industry. 30 years later discussing this project of my youth in my office I did a search of Docs' boat, and my heart nearly stopped. I found what I had stored hidden deep in the memories of my soul and finally discovered as to what ever become of the magnificent piece of woodwork being carefully crafted in that barn. Thank God for you two, and RUclips. I got a chance to see what I had missed since I left home 25 years later. It brough back a lot of memories and shed light to my family as to where their father had learned so many things from his past. With out you two, it would all have been just words of memory. Thank you for so many years.
All the Best. Loved watching your show since elementary. What a journey!
I am not much of a TV person. But I can tell you that as a 50 year old, 6th generation Texan, who grew up in a tiny town, I would intently watch TCR when it was on TV. If I happened to be scrolling through the channels and came across this show, I would never change the channel. I was ALWAYS wanting more. I think my love for my job, which entails traveling all over Texas was because of Bob's shows and the special places he went. I felt like I was right there with him. His voice, his charisma, his love for this state, and what was depicted on this show is so special and will be missed.
Good luck on the next chapter, and you and Kelli are a blessing from God. Love You.
Another American Classic gone, I truly enjoyed the ride across Texas...thanks to both of you.
The only show I think I've ever seen where I was always glad I watched the episode whether it initially interested me or not, the outcome was always a great feeling and lesson I needed to hear or some great food for thought. And you did it right for 52 years.....who does that? Enjoy some well deserved time to yourselves. Thanks for the memories!!
My parents turned me on to your show years ago. They're gone now. I was born and raised in Texas but have been out of state for decades. You always reminded me of home. Thank you! God bless 🙏
Thank You Both and those who helped thru the years showing us the good that still lives on in this great nation of ours.the real Americans that live and continue helping others day after day that we haven't seen yet.but we know they are there because of YOU.Blessings to BOTH of YOU.
I was there for 4country, 8country and Texas country reporter. It has never gotten old through all these years. And you guys made it new and fresh every episode. You’ll be missed.
Just doesn't seem that long but it has been I've seen you when you first started.... And of course we always.. enjoyed.. every bit of it.. I'm just about. Sure. Y'all go back to some of these places on. Your own.. Lord. Continue to bless. Y'all... J. D . A.
You both have given us stories that will last a lifetime and we enjoyed traveling along with you. You for years Bob then you and all the rest of us were and are blessed with Kelly. Thank you both for all you have done to entertain us in Texas and all across America. God bless you both and thanks for the memories. Have a wonderful life and you both will be missed. Take good care of yourselves
and we hope to see you down
the road someday. Thanks for stopping in Flint Texas a while back. Ronnie Blair, Flint, TX
One of the proudest days of my life was when I received my Texas drivers license at 53. I was a Yankee transplant from the north. I loved working and living in the great state of Texas. It felt like coming home. When the grandchildren started coming along, it was time to move back. Your show not only helps me remember all the places I got to travel to there, but the spirit of the people through your stories of each one. It is a gift you have given all of us viewers. God bless you both. Thank you.🥰🥰
Wow, wow, wow..52 years! What an accomplishment. Thank y'all both so much for your dedication. This is a comfort show for us. Born and raised in Texas, we have also lived in Oklahoma (I know,..very un-Texan of us!) and Kentucky and this show always kept us linked to "home." Bob, your voice is forever linked to Texas Country Reporter! Thank you both for your many years of service . I hope you find a cozy spot, somewhere down in Texas, and enjoy your retirement. God bless!

Like many I've watched since I was 18!!!! I'm 61😮
We use to take out our "paper" map yes paper and circle where you happened to be on that show that we'd wanna visit. It was our Sunday routine cause we knew what time it was on and we'd run to the couch and not blink cause back then you missed it on tv it was gone😅!! My favorite was skidboo the dog and the pie lady who baked pies in her little oven in her little kitchen and delivered them!!!reminded of me😊. People wanna travel when they retire, y'all did it backwards 🤔🤭🤭. God bless y'all and take it easy now. Thank to so soooooooo much for showing us all the nooks and hidden places in TEXAS!!! from El PasoTexas much ❤️ 💞🤠
As a born and breed Texan living in Tennessee now this show brought a lot of my home state back to me! Such wonderful people and awesome videos they put together always brought me back to keep watching! Enjoy your retirement we will miss you 2 very much but you have created such a great thing for so many people! God Bless!
Thank you Bob and Kelli! Have enjoyed your reporting since I was a kid! Texas country Reporter won’t be the same without you! And that voice! Happy retirement and best wishes from Amarillo!
I am 55 years old, born and raised in Texas and this show has literally been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Thank you for all the great stories about the people and the lands of this wonderful state.
Been watching since the 4 Country Reporter days. Played softball against you guys when I worked at KISS-FM back in the mid-80s. Watched with my folks whenever possible, and then just with my mom after Dad passed away. For the last 3 years, I've been watching without either after I lost Mom also. I moved out of Texas almost 25 years ago. It's not the same place anymore, but your show reminded me that at least parts of it are. Your storytelling is amazing, and I'm so thankful you allowed us to ride along with you for 52 years. Thanks Bob, Kelli, and the entire TCR crew!
I watched you many years ago when you were on TV. Being in the military obviously I was sent away from Texas to go to another duty station. I had forgotten all about your show and your explorations of Texas until I found you again on RUclips.
You went to many of the very places I had been when I was stationed there, and showed me more of Texas than I had ever seen.
Thank you for everything that you have done to keep us all informed and entertained over the years.
I wish both of you the best of luck and a long and healthy life.
I hope that you two enjoy a well deserved retirement! You have touched so many lives with your features of so many great Texans! My wife and I watch your show every week, and many episodes have brought a tear or two because of the genuine stories you have chronicled. We wish you the best! You will be missed.
I was born and raised in texas and lived there for 62 years now we live in North Carolina, I always have loved the show and how y’all showed us Texas and the people who had great talents. Y’all did a great job and we will miss y’all. Love always. ❤
Recently found you on you tube, but I would look forward watching your show in the 80’s when I was a child, for I love all things Texas. It was educational, clean and all about Texas in the state I love. Thank you Texas Country Reporter, it will not be the same without you and educating us about Texas.
Watched TCR since I was a kid in the 80s at my grandparents house out in Marietta Texas. Now I live in Washington State and have enjoyed their shows on YT the past few years. The memories and overall nostalgia I have of this show its really hard to put into words. I just appreciate you guys having a great quality show on for so many years and adapting to modern times by posting your shows on YT. Will miss seeing new episodes but thankfully I have the archive here on YT to watch whenever I want. Thank you so much for the great work you guys have done over the years!
Thank you for taking us along on your journey. As a music promoter, I always consider myself Texas at heart and was blessed to see a smidge of the beautiful state. Country Blessings on the next stage of your journey.
I've been watching for numerous years, but at some point the journey ends, so that a new one can begin. Thanks for the journey you took us on.
Our family enjoyed watching your episodes and the morals you tried to convey. Thank you from Portugal.
I've watched your program as long as I can remember! May the good Lord bless your golden years, Thank you for all the great shows!
Thank you so very much for the wonderful ride through this great state of Texas. Have a wonderful retirement. Loved all the beautiful stories.
This channel and these videos are AWESOME! I especially love the small family restaurants they feature all over Texas.
Bless y'all!!! Thank you for all you've shared with me for a long time! From Keller Texas!!!!
I hadn't watched your show in years but remember how good you guys made me feel to be a Texan. I discovered your RUclips Channel and have been able to see some of the episodes I've missed over the years. Thank You
Had no idea you guys were retiring. When I was a kid, I caught most of your show as the package segments on 4 Country in Dallas.
Bob, you’ve done so much to promote and highlight every corner of Texas for decades. Sharing Texas with other Texans and the world.
Thank you. God bless!
Bob and Kelly we all are going to miss y'all. You have shown everyone how much you and the rest of us loving Texas. May you future be bright. Thank you for everything.
I can only say thank you! What a blessing you both have been to my family. ❤
Wow. You're been reporting for as long as I'm old (born in 1972). Used to watch your show back in my hometown of Weslaco. Loved learning something new about our great state. Muchas gracias! Enjoy your retirement and God bless.
Really enjoyed all the wonderful travels in our great state of Texas with Bob and Kelli. Have been watching Texas Country Reporter since the 70's, I am also now retired so enjoy your retirement and thank you all the great moments. God Bless the both of you
My two sweet, beautiful people. I love you both.
We all are very lucky to see all the places, people, and all the beautiful stories you have done with such PERFECTION.
I still am watching videos I didn't see due to all this modern technology when they went from the old antenna to the new nightmares for this Old Schooler.
Y'all got it down pat, and now Y'all are off to a new adventure in your lives. I wish Y'all the best, but PLEASE always keep the door open when Y'all get bored. That way, Y'all can get back on the roads and become Roadrunners again.
Thank Y'all Bob and Kelli, for many jobs well done.
Keep in touch with everyone so we know Y'all are doing okay.
God bless, keep on keeping on, and we love and will miss Y'all a bushel and a peck.
Shirley Wildes and Family in Okeechobee Florida 🥰🤗👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I have loved your programs and was very fortunate that one of those segments dealt with my book The Gun that Wasn't There about the bandit who terrorized the Texas Hill County and a part of West Texas during the 1960s. Thank you for your time and effort providing us with positive stories and history from all through out the Texas landscape.
From AZ, wishing you the best. Worked in TX for a couple years, picked up TCR while there. So much craziness out there, this show kept it in the sane lane. Peace.
Thank you. This show changed my life. All of us at Zither Music Company wish you the best.
Big thank you from El Paso, Texas! Great work, fun times along with some emotional ones ❤
Didn't expect to cry watching this video. Watching TCR has been my absolute comfort when life is feeling a bit too much. The stories and people shared always remind me of how resilient I can be. Happiest retirement Bob and Kelli, a well deserved break. Blessings, from a fellow Kiwi fan💖
Thank you Bob and Kelli for showing me the state of Texas the people the magnificent places small businesses to very small towns especially the restaurants it makes me want to there and other places I grew up watching your program I enjoyed it then I enjoy it now and will always enjoy it happy retirement and thank for showing me the state of Texas.
Thank you for the decades of information and entertainment!
Thank you for all the memories. I found TCR on RFD TV many years ago and have been watching ever since. Enjoy your retirement! you have earned it. Thank goodness for reruns! Your friend in Utah.
My heart aches at the end. It reminds me of my own years gone by and fewer ahead. In NJ now but spent most of my adult life deep in the heart of Texas…it’s who I am. Just hearing your voices, regardless of the story, takes me home even when I watch on RUclips.
A true institution, now to be relegated to the annuls of history. Your contribution to the lone star state can never be over estimated. Thank you for everything.
Well Bob. Enjoy life. Keep on going. Hey Kelly take care of this man please. Love you guys.
Thank you for your years of service! You will be truly missed! Enjoy the next phase of your lives! God Bless.
Came to Texas in 2006....TCR was one of my first loves. Really going to miss you both. Happy Retirement.

When I first learned of you I was a young man and you did a story on my Dad,s cousins earthworm farm. Years later you did a story on a friend’s hotel and star watching in far west Texas. In between those times I have enjoyed each of your shows & stories. Congratulations on your retirement! Let’s meet at Mary’s for a chicken fried steak!

I'm 53 years, lived almost my entire life in Texas. I've been watching TCR since 1980. In those days, in west Texas, we only had access to three television channels and every Saturday my parents, brothers and sisters would gather around the TV to watch a TCR episode. I love the stories, people, and the places that Bob and Kelli have been bringing bringing to us all these years. Thank you Bob and Kelli and Congrats to your retirement! Does anyone own one of their original traveling vehicles?

No WAY!!! I am beyond saddened. This style of reporting is dying and being replaced by utter garbage. I will miss you beyond belief. I 100% LOVED your reporting and showcasing what this amazing country & amazing people are all about. You told the true authentic Texas stories. A HUGE thank & many blessings to you and your next chapter
I watched y'all from a kid with my papa and now I live in Missouri and I can't believe your leaving. I am 31 now and watch it with my kiddo.
