  • This video is all about how you can get a name for yourself as a DJ and start getting shows because people know of you, as opposed to people knowing you personally because you attend their events.
Let's face it if you want to succeed as a DJ it is good if people know who you are, so instead of being "that DJ" that killed it, people can name you and if they can name you, then they can find you online and your chances of building a fanbase increases a thousandfold.
If you are new to DJing and want to learn at a standard good enough to headline club events check this out: www.clubreadyd...
I have taught over 1000 people how to successful DJ and rate my course as the best on the planet, see for yourself.

Straight on point! Thanks for your channel!
Could you make a video about where to buy music to be able to play it in clubs or on streams regarding copyrights or what fees to consider when offering streams or downloads?

I already have a video on finding music which you should check out but with copyright, the venue pays that as part of their entertainment license, you only have to worry about it when streaming songs and yes I'll aim to do a video on that asap ;)

Thanks for your vids - you have a great laidback and informative style. Would love you to cover a video on mixing old house tunes and tracks with less bass. Im having major difficulty with them through a mixture of a) inconsistent BPMs (which i have solved with loops) but B) moreover a lot of these tracks have much less bass than modern house and there seems to be less consistency with it. Any ideas?

Thanks mate I really appreciate this. Sure thing, if you send me the track names you are struggling with, that';d be great, perhaps I'll even use them. Not sure how long it'll take though. I am about to film the next season, but I batch it, meaning I'll film a dozen videos in one hit and then schedule so they all roll into each other, but happy to definitely include something like this in the next batch :)

@@ClubReadyDJSchool Amazing thanks. Some 'problem' tracks for me inc Chemical Bros - Hey Girl: this track is typical of i guess main stream anthems of this type from that period as there is no real bass to get hold off for my transition. With older tracks like this i only generally want to drop them in amongst newer music so an example of something in key might be Robert Surace - Joys or something more techy like Catch my Breath - Max Chapman. Even if you look at the waveform of these 2 tracks, the more modern track will have a steady area of red or at least orange, where as tracks like the chemical bros (or shakedown - at night, josh winx - higher state, Justice - we are your friends) seem seem to have little kick drum, with mainly green waveform and a scattering of purple. Other problem tracks might be something like Roger Sanchez - Release yo self - basically very flat bass, nightmare to mix (for me!) as there is no bass to grab. Inconsistent bpm is an issue with older house tracks (for example insaitable - thick dick) Be awesome to have a vid that looks at ' difficult to mix' tracks as ways around it. Obv there are tonnes of vids on mixing but they tend to be either be quite safe mixing or mixing different generes. There isnt a vid i can find that deals with same-ish genre but just problematic tracks . Awesome man - thanks and look forward to seeing something!

I guess it would depend on how good you want to get, and whether you take it as a hobby or want to do it for work.
