Please keep cranking these out. Your commentary series is so entertaining, I should just cancel Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, etc. Just don't go on strike.
it seems to be the way in a lot of games, chess go shogi that the young player wants a knife fight in a telephone booth where they can outread their opponent while the old player wants to take it to an endgame where their years of experience will give them an edge
@@telegraphgo Holy cow that's fast! I started playing in 2018 and I'm currently OGS 3kyu, but I'm trying to reach 1dan. What would you say is the most important thing to focus on to improve? Reviewing games? Finding a teacher? Tsumego? Reading books?
@@chritical_ep It depends on the person, what weaknesses you have that you need to improve. The number one most important thing is to believe in the depth of Go. As long as you always respect that there is a better thought process available you can strive to match it.
The goban is from the game Just Go on steam, which has a nice 3d animation from Unity. I use a couple of effects from GLAT. The overlay is just a bunch of stuff I cobbled together myself, a Telegraph original! 😀
A bit in disbelief about Q15.... It seems that Takahiro didn't punish Fujita's mistakes at least twice in the game......but Q15 is too slack.....i wonder about the "marketing needs" of these games and the role of older players in Japanese go.....
I dont agree with the explanation that H15 is insufficient/inefficient when black using also K13 to escape. H15 stone acually makes W not pushing K13 stone with hane at k12 since it can leads to a cut from B at L12 spot. thats why W forced to play L12 after K13, which make nice position for black at this area. And you didnt mentioned the good Aji H15 makes for black up the board aswell. You could argue black has better options, thats fine. But using the word "not making any sence" just missleading in my opinion (:

It feels like there's a race for new "youngest players" now.
Impressive play by this young guy, and a fun game to watch, too. And of course thank you for the wonderful lively commentary!
Thanks!
I think W140 shows a nervous breakdown. The fact that White gave up a few moves later confort me in this opinion.
Thanks for the video! E11 is definitely not in my "range of moves".
Good commentary, thanks. Hard to find good go content in English.
Great video!
9 years?
Guys when I was 9 years old I was eating dirt;)
When did you start playing? How soon after you started did you get 8 dan
I started in february 2017 and got 8dan online in like 2021 I think

I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Great commentary as always.
What were the time settings for this game?
If I knew I'd tell you :D
Can u tell which client are u using in this video please ?

Dope. Are there reports if he got better ever since he became pro?
Personally, I think so but it will still be years until he's good enough to make splashes in big tournaments.

Sure, I suppose I should be kinder if it's not too bad of a move, even though I understand the reasons it's a little wrong myself
