To everyone with a missing hamster. This noise did not work for me. What I did was cut up some red cabbage and put it in the middle of the room. Then had my phone light on, but down so the room was dark. Then after a minute or so, maybe 5. Or whenever you hear something, check the cabbage pile with your light. Be ready to grab a running hamster. Put out a tiny cap of water too. First thing he did once back in the cage was pound water down.
first off hamsters are pretty blind so having the room dark? they are nocturnal so come out at night thirsty as hell if they been missing for quite a while / best not to panic if hammy is missing unless the doors are open and they can get outside ?? or to a place that will lead them to be lost no one should leave hamsters unattended while they are exercising/ they will come out of their hiding places for water and having a cabbage in the room does not matter they will smell other food better than a cabbage Saiyan//they will try to get back for water i have found in the past as we all know you die without water first rather than food /

Hamsters can remember locations, solve problems, recognize their master, and have a vocabulary much like birds which they use to communicate with other hamsters. To say "all hamsters are dumb" says a lot more about you than them. Anthropocentrism sucks, and it needs to end.

hi guys my darling ham started scratching violently so took her to vet cost a bomb and they think mites i cant understand how she got them? as i have nursed her through the worst broke my heart seeing her so uncomfortable/and not being able to do anything to help her till vet/ she been given lots of love and care and she is on the mend /she lost a lot of fur and looks like a chicken as she is old as well/she got meds from vet/ i got her tea tree animal balm to soothe her skin/ i have done all i can cleaning her habitat too/she can free roam my bed room so gets lots of exercise//i don't wish this on any hammy lover. you feel so bad going through it/please god no more scratching for her it was a nightmare x and i love her to bits snooty is her name x ps the minute your ham starts scratching badly get help/dont wait it wont stop on its own//
My hamster went on a “liberty” walk and I started to freak out when I couldn’t find him in the closed room but I stopped playing the sound at 5 minutes and he came running to my feet HES SO EXTRA 😭

I searched for "hamster noises" to make sure what animal my cats were poking. It was definitely a wild hamster or a pet hamster that ran away! Btw, I didn't let my cats kill the hamster. He is alive, but I'm still worried about it. Hamsters are not common here, so it was probably a pet!

I definitely forgot to say do this at night time when your hamster is normally active.
My hamster died of heat stroke. Do not let your hamster be in a hot room all day. 79 degrees maximum.
