    Wanted to let you know that my wife and I love your videos. From the perfectly filmed macro shots of your tank to the haphazard way you apply superglue, we find your videos to be very entertaining. Please keep them coming :)
    One critique about this setup I had - I think you should consider washers for the screws that attach the rocks to the lid. Over time there is a decent chance that plastic will bore out given the weight of the structure. A Few cheap washers in there would go a long way in making this more stable.

      Thank you!
      Uh, that's a really great point, I didn't think of it, I have a lot of washers, will do!

      I never left ;), well, took a break of 3 weeks of upload but never really stopped, always stuff to do!
      I might have to address this kind of comment at some point, some of my videos take times to edit, can't always publish every week even at full time.
      hmmmm
      But thx! There's some footage older than my last video actually, cyano is not entirely gone but very well control

      Spider wood gives a "jungle" impression, kinda like it. I wish I had more piece with another type of wood that looks "ancient", a beautiful texture but it was a bit pricy

    Nice video. Loved the mod. In my experience airplants will eventually die out with low light. Better to arrange a light source for them.

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 года назад +2

      Yeah that's actually a very very good point, I'm planning to change light at some point.
      They don't need high light but ... still, I'm pretty I will lose 1-3 of them with the transition from natural indirect sunlight to a reef spectrum light.
      I was thinking to maybe add a light just for them, I have a freshwater light not in use... hmm will see

    Why you have not used mangrove tree, I think would be more useful even to keep nutrients low.

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 года назад

      Because Mangrove doesn't suck up nutriment like people think, it's super slow.
      The other reason is because the mangrove would take 66% of the space on my aquarium ;)

  • @Dwatson83
    @Dwatson83 3 года назад +1

    I don’t think you would have to spray the plants at all. The evaporation from the tank should give them all the water they need.

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 года назад

      Oh boy, I can be guaranteed it's not the case!
      It's obligatory in my environment otherwise they dry out after 2-3 week

  • @relaxunwind4971
    @relaxunwind4971 3 года назад

    Hello, ive watched most of your videos now, its amazing! Your tank height overall you list as 20cm, so is your water level around 19cm? I am designing a tank similar, if your are doing the same tank again would you go 25cm overall to give a little more height?

    • @AquaSplendor
      @AquaSplendor  3 года назад

      If it was 25cm I would have 24cm water line ;)
      I design it this way by choice.
