The female driver of the SUV was attempting to turn onto Madison Ave from Kearney St. As she pulled out, she was hit by the male driver of the car. Witnesses told us that the male was speeding northbound and on a cell phone when the collision occurred, but this is unverified.
The male suffered a head injury as he hit the windshield, and the airbag did not deploy. The male was transported to a local hospital for his injury. The female was not injured. The male may also have not had a driver's license nor auto insurance.
