Are the ultimate wicks quiet?
They do crackle!
Sooooo would you say they burn a tad hotter than the CB or a tad cooler?
They burn a tad hotter, because they are more efficient at pulling the fuel (wax) up the wick and to the flame. We recommend you start with a 1:1 test, meaning if you currently use the Crackling Booster .03 x .5" wide, start your test with Ultimate Wick .03 x .5" wide and size down if needed from there. :)

The problem I have with wooden wicks is that the wood turns the wax beige/brown. I would have to add dye to wax to remedy this issue. But the wooden wick makes the candle look so upscale and beautiful.
This can occur due to the tannins naturally present in wood - it is more likely in more yellow colored waxes like soy or soy heavy blends. The discoloration is typically pretty minimal when using a brighter white wax like Virgin Coconut Soy or Coco Apricot Creme. Thanks for your comment!
