I have 30 roses some from a rose nursery and others are from Walmart and Sam's. If you struggle keeping your roses alive I highly suggest you use a planter. And use 3/4 of potting soil and 1/4 of garden soil or cow manure with compost. Mix very well. Pot. And water every other day. I suggest in the evening. When trimming cut just above the leaf where you desire so you won't get harsh die back. I like to use Miracle-Gro Water Soluble every 7 days to 2 weeks. Depends how hot it is I won't use it as much. And every six months or so I top them with fresh soil and blend it in with the old soil. This has always worked for me.😊
Wow. That's amazing. 30!. Hello and thanks. My roses do well in my soil. I just add soil conditioner to my clay and they have bloomed great. I'm excited about what they do in 2024.
😂 Yeah, 30. I can't help it. They make me so happy. I'm also shopping for tall affordable planters from Walmart, because a few of my roses are just growing so fast. So I will be there getting new soil, planters and maybe 1 or 2 roses😅. And I really liked the flowers you got from Home Depot that were 5.00, so I will go there and get a few of those same flowers. I also appreciate you taking your time and showing us all the different varieties of roses there. It helps a lot!
I've also had good luck with bag roses. Have to be more careful in zone 6 because most are grafted. Mr. Lincoln and Moonlight in Paris are on my watch-for list!
Thank you for the great tour! Loved it! True Bloom are smaller for now since they are own root vs grafted plants and I think in the field probably one full growing season vs two. The roses just came into my Walmart this week and I’ve been enjoying buying several to expand my collection too.
I bought many bare-root roses from Walmart last year, and most did not survive. I had better luck with the blooming roses in gallon containers. I was disappointed because they were such nice varieties - they just didn't make it.
Maybe you did something different than I did - when you got them home, how did you take care of them? I'd love to buy some and have them survive. They are such lovely varieties.
Hi. I planted them directly and made sure to give them a lot of oranic matter. I made sure not to cover the graft and I gave them rose food. And they were in blazing sun. I didn't pre-soak (I actually forgot) and I made sure they had good circulation
My yearly tradition is to buy Climbing Golden Showers at Walmart each year, bare root, plant it, watch it start growing, and then watch it suddenly die for no obvious reason. I started this year's tradition this morning at Walmart, lol. I had Golden Showers for many years until it got rose rosette disease and died. Since then, I cannot get a new one to ever survive for some reason.
Rio samba is very pretty rose it's mixed colors, I have it as tree rose bought it almost a decade ago, when is Blooms is a super colorful all over like sunset, I have a gold medal, but wish I was in the home Depot didn't pass the moonlight in Paris, I saw in RUclips everybody loves it whoever have it, o well maybe next year it's too late now
I bought 4 of them this year, my first try at roses. they're all dead. I think they were doomed from the moment I unwrapped them. the dirt they're packed in was hard and dried out as a rock. After knocking as much of that dirt off of them as I could, I soaked them for a couple hours, one showed some signs of life but it didn't last long. It might be a good idea if walmart didn't display them outside in the direct sunlight and heat. I'll try something else next year.

I can definitely vouch for them. I was so happy with how they both performed in my garden. I wish you well.

Thank you so much for this! I’m in zone 5 and it’s fun to see a sneak peak of what’s to come
I'm glad you found the video useful and I hope your store will soon get some plants soon. Enjoy
Good video. I enjoy your manner of covering the details here. Going to pick up some of these at Walmart soon.
@@donaldguthals9266 thanks so much
I'm glad you put the video on here I'm in Michigan we just got them in
Yayyy, I'm glad.
You are rose lover, very well illustrated.
I love them. They get a bad rap for being difficult to grow but they are too beautiful not to grow.

So sorry to hear that. Try again, you never know! I had great luck. I bought 6 and they all bloomed beautiful and they are all budded up right now.
Your video helped me greatly! ❤️
I'm so happy to hear that. Thanks so much.

Oh wow, sorry to hear that. Roses can be finicky for sure. Don't give up on them though.
The canes on the garden expert look better than the true blooms... and there more affordable crazy! thanks for sharing!
Thanks. That's good to know. I have to look more into "own root" roses for sure.

I agree on Rio Samba. Yes Moonlight in Paris is pretty popular. There's still a lot at Lowes and my walmart but it definitely depends on your area
The true bloom are own root, which is why the canes are smaller then the other grafted ones :)
Thanks

Je heb zo mooie rozen tuin❤😊
I need a peach and purple one
Do these bloom repeatedly like knockout roses? I’m watching for Moonlight in Paris, reminds me of David Austin roses. How is yours doing now? 4:43
They bloom from spring to fall for me. They don't bloom as fast as the knock out but as hybrid Teas they do quite well.
When new stock of bareroot rose are coming at Wal-Mart ?in Georgia
The true bloom are own root
Dark purple and blue is found at Wal-Mart or not. I want to take help from your experience.
Hi there, are you looking for a dark purple rose? I did not see one at Walmart. The only purple that I saw was one named Heirloom.
Those roses at Costco was/look much better for $2 more @11.97
I don't have a Costco near me and the Walmart roses have performed exceptionally well in my garden. 2 years in a row. Cant beat $9.97..
❤aldis too
Any cheaper😂l'll fly to USA like....rite now😅😂❤
I went to Home Depot today and they had none. Are these at Walmart? I’m in Dahlonega Georgia
Hi there. Yes. These were at Walmart. My homebdepot had some too. I'm working on that video now. The ones at home depot were the vigoro brand.
Do Wal-Mart have white bareroot rose in store to purchase.
@monawershah7465 I don't remember seeing a white rose back in February. The prior year, I did get one, unfortunately I don't remember the name.
@gardeningonpurpose3334 thanks, I appreciate your response, I hope one day I will get from Conyers Georgia Wal-Mart.
Why my Walmart don't hv all that 😢😢😢😢
Hopefully your store will start getting shipments
Did you see any purple?
I didn't see any true purples.. the closest to purple that I saw was the one labeled, Heirloom. I'll keep an eye out.
Fragrant Plum is both purple & fragrant :)
The others roses are grafted I'm just letting you know
Own root roses are always smaller
Rozen tuin intree .5 dollar😅
