Where you at in the story? There's alot of things that happened that led to this point? I essentially spoiled myself, so this is a warning if you don't wanna get spoiled: Apparently there's thing thing called NYMPH that regulates the Human Brain in the Nikke for reformatting and brain maintenance. Matis nearly gets corrupted by Rapture code and the only way to save them without doing a reformat was to get rid of the NYMPH in their brains. Turns out NYMPH can also regulate emotions, and Laplace has been talking about being a hero under its influence dampening her fear instincts, so without that her brain can finally think "oh shit, this is scary", but thanks to Commander pep talk, she gets the encouragement she needs to face her fears and that's all I know. I sure hope she stops being a condescending archetype cause that's the only turn off I have about her, otherwise she's fucking adorable.

They do it for us so its only courteous and fair to do the same in return. xDD Sadly they didn't know they were fucking with a "Gundam" until the mask came on. xDD Then they realized they wouldn't be respawning for another 24 hours.
