I finally read Beartown this year because of your recommendation and I adored it!! Can't wait to continue on with the trilogy 🙌 I also really loved Hamnet and My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologies 💛
A few of my favorites this year: Supernova, Hollowpox, The House in the Cerulean Sea, Little Thieves, The Language of Thorns, Capturing the Devil, The City of Brass, Extasia, I Kissed Shara Wheeler, The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina, Where the Drowned Girls Go, The Final Revival of Opal and Nev.
The Beautiful Ones is so lovely! I loved the pure melodrama of the story (I mean this positively) and how the speculative elements were woven in. I think it's my fave Moreno Garcia book so far!
It’s been awhile since I watched a booktube channel and come away with several books that I wanted to pick up after learning of them from the host. I am definitely feeling that we are on similar wavelengths with our reading interests so hopefully this won’t be the last time I click off & rush to the bookstore with a wishlist of new books in hand! Just subscribed, looking forward to your upcoming content. 👍
I'm almost finished Ruin by John Gwynne, so blown away!!! I've already been enjoying the series/this author but WOW the action, the emotions, the giants!!! so much going in this one & so much to love! Definitely going to be a favorite. great vid! thank you
I just made some Ramen and your video popped into my feed, love it when the stars align :D Also I bought the first book you brought up, after watching your previous videos, so thank you for that rec!
My favorites for the first half of the year are: The Green Bone Saga, Sea of Tranquility, Piranesi, Klara and the Sun, The Housekeeper and the Professor, Before the Coffee Gets Cold, Akata Woman.
Keeper of the Lost Cities and Circe both had me UGLY crying as I was reading them. And it's been a minute, but I think Queen of Air and Darkness had me in tears too
I never hear normal people, outside of my mum and I, use the term ad nauseum - didn't think I could love watching you more, turns out I was wrong! Fave book of this year so far is The Magicians by Lev Grossman - yes I know I'm late to the party but I like to make an entrance 😅😅
Some of my favorites this year: 1) Daughter by Kate McLaughlin 2) The Shadow in the Glass by J.J.A Harwood 3) The Nature of Witches by Rachel Griffin 4) Beasts and Beauty: Dangerous Tales by Soman Chainani 5) Luck of the Titanic by Stacey Lee 6) One for All by Lillie Lanoff (I highly recommend for you you Regan it is a gender bender retelling of The Three Musketeers) 7) The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James 8) Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston 9) Finding Junie Kim by Ellen Oh 10) The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren 11) Not Like the Movies by Kerry Winfrey 12) Heartless by Marissa Myer 13) The Troubled Girls of Dragomir Academy by Anne Ursu
It tested your love of reading 😂 I am the absolute same with HOSAB- possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. The disgusting repetitions of scents, poorly timed awkward sexual innuendos, pointless plot elements that had no impact and a manipulative ending that was SO RANDOM
Thanks for another great video! I love seeing these summaries from booktubers and yours was probably my favourite one I’ve seen this year. Your descriptions of the books are super concise and engaging and always leave me wanting to know more!
My favorites so are: Imaginary Friend, Plain Bad Heroines, The Blade Itself, Dragon Republic, Dune, Engines of Empire, SPQR, Once Upon a Broken Heart, and Son of Shadows.
My favorite read for the year, so far, is Confessions of a Curious Bookseller. I'm currently reading The Atlas Six and I'm really liking it. I normally do not enjoy multiple POVS. I have The Beautiful Ones on my kindle and after hearing you rave about it in your reading vlog I added it to my July TBR. ^_^
I also enjoyed The Atlas Six. Sure it had its issues, but I thought it was really good. My favorite so far this year is Sea of Tranquility. Thought it was fantastic.
Yes, I’m starting to realise my love for historical fantasy. I particularly love historical fantasy that isn’t euro-centric, like P. Djèlí Clark’s Dead Djinn Universe.
Favorite books: the wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa and the Ivory Key by akshaya Raman. Worst book: books by Abby glines. All of them that I suffered through. Most surprising: terms and conditions by Lauren asher.
My favorite books of this year are The great peace by mena suvari her memoir Not my father son by alan cumming his memoir Dolores Claiborne by Stephen king Billy summers by Stephen king The cactus by Sarah Haywood The heart principle by helen Hoang
Was this your first time reading the mysterious Benedict society? Also a rec for literary fiction is these impossible things. It came out this month and it’s about three Muslim women dealing with dating, Religion, family and so much more! I hope you pick it up and can spread its awarness
The worst book I’ve read this year was Cemetery Boys…I don’t get the hype, honestly. It’s just badly written. The best book I’ve read is a duology called La História de la Diana by Florencia Bonelli, an Argentinian author. It was my first time reading 2 gigantic books in Spanish (it is not my first language) and it was so worth it. PS: it’s funny that you hated hosab-I loved it 😂 I just know precisely what I’m gonna get from a SJM’s book, I don’t expect anything outstanding. I just want to have a good time, and Maas always delivers it
A few of my favorite books this year so far were All the Animals on Earth by Mark Sampson, The Second Life of Mirielle West by Amanda Skenandore, and Voidbreaker (The Keepers, #3) by David Dalglish.
My favorite this year so far is Legends and Lattes, basically it’s a fantasy slice of life book that I didn’t know that I needed.
I actually JUST finished Babel and it was PHENOMENAL!
I'm glad you enjoyed The Atlas Six. I keep hearing mixed reviews about this book but I'm eager to try reading it :)
I finally read Beartown this year because of your recommendation and I adored it!! Can't wait to continue on with the trilogy 🙌 I also really loved Hamnet and My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologies 💛
I can't belive it is already that time!!
I KNOW
Really enjoyed this video.
I loved The Keeper of Lost Cities and am looking forward to reading the next one in this series.

I agree!!
The Daughter of Doctor Moreau sounds interesting. And that cover is stunning.
So thrilled to see Daughter of the Forest! Such a wonderful book!

I may have missed it in another one of your videos, but have you read Gallant, the new VE Schwab book? I was hoping to hear your review!
Yes, I’m starting to realise my love for historical fantasy. I particularly love historical fantasy that isn’t euro-centric, like P. Djèlí Clark’s Dead Djinn Universe.
Oh I think you’ll really like sea of tranquility!
Absolutely shocked that Reagan didn't say "BAYbel" this time 😂
Favorite books: the wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa and the Ivory Key by akshaya Raman.
