I have the Infinium version of this amp... it's a beast. I love it, but it's SO loud that I rarely get the opportunity to use it, even running at 50 watts with two of the power tubes pulled. Greasy video, boys!
I’ve also got two tubes pulled out of this one! Haha. The guy I bought it from said you can pull 2 out no problem, I dunno if I’d trust it in an expensive amp but it seems to work fine in the Bugera!
@@BlackBridgeSound yeah, the impedance adjustment has something to do with how the transformers receive voltages or something. For a while it may not cause any issues but it could lead to the transformers failing, which would make the amp a door stop.
@@BlackBridgeSound no I had it modded & it did improve it a little, the best bet for improved tone would be to change the filter capacitors & the half power switch is like pulling 2 tubes, (something you can do to old marshall and fender amps to reduce power & output)
@@garycole4287 The output level would only really drop by about 3db at 50w. An attenuator would be a better way of taming the volume, unless you have the Infinium version. In which case you can just throw a passive volume pedal/control in the FX loop
@@garycole4287 When I pulled the two power tubes in mine for a moment it just moved the break up from 5 on the volume knob down to 4 which honestly was kind of moot since this amp is basically full volume at 2 or 3 anyway.

@@BlackBridgeSound Dont forget to half your ohms on the amp. (16 ohm cab / 8 ohm on amp.)
@@LMerchant01 when pulling two power tubes? I was unaware of such info.
@@BlackBridgeSound Thats what ive always read.

It's a kicker. End of story. Very legit to my ears...
Not too shabby for the price 😎
Dirty, I’d give er a go.
3:07 - Was that some Geordie twang Uncle Mike?
Haha it sure was bro! You’ve made a lasting impression up there 🤣. Fockin mint like
I have this amp modded with a ppimv & a half power switch.
Did you find it improved it or buy it already modded?
