Ellen White only believed in the shut door idea before she was called into the prophetic office. She even says she was wrong before the Lord corrected her.
The only shut door there is now is that Jesus is no longer in the Holy Place, but the Most Holy Place, which most of Christianity believes now anyway.

@7th-Day oh ok thx I guess we'll maybe you can answer this please But if there was one sin above another which called for the destruction of the race by the flood, it was the base crime of amalgamation of man and beast which defaced the image of God, and caused confusion everywhere. God purposed to destroy by a flood that powerful, long-lived race that had corrupted their ways before him.--Spiritual Gifts, vol. 3, p. 64.

sillygoose9666 this talking about the amalgamation of beast with beast and mankind with mankind, not man WITH beast.
It's actually talking about the whole sons of God, daughters of men issue.
I know there is lots of ideas on that one, angels, believers, etc.
But this was basically talking about believers that came from the line of Seth (3rd son of Adam) getting together with the descendants of Cain who were nonbelievers.
This is what led people into great apostasy as well as experimenting on the Creation.
This is why believers are warned not to be unequally yoked. Hope that helps.

@sillygoose9666 not sure why. The explanations were always there.
There was even a book called "Southern Work" where she says how we are to witness to those who had been enslaved and set free, and she showed how people of all races are God's creation.
So whoever left because of this should read everything in context.
