Arthur Gordon "Art" Linkletter (born Gordon Arthur Kelly, July 17, 1912 - May 26, 2010) was a Canadian-born American radio and television personality. He was the host of House Party, which ran on CBS radio and television for 25 years, and People Are Funny, on NBC radio and TV for 19 years. Linkletter was famous for interviewing children on House Party and Kids Say the Darndest Things, which led to a series of books quoting children. He became a naturalized United States citizen in 1942.
there's a really strong possibility his daughter did not commit suicide but was murdered by the man who was with her when it happened. that same guy--whose name was Edward durston---was later with johnny carson's tea time movie lady when she also died under very mysterious circumstances. at that time durston acted very suspiciously but it happened in Mexico. if that one had also happened in the usa the cops would have jammed it up durston's southern aperture. right afterwards he moved to Japan, likely to be beyond the reach of united states law enforcement. google it. quite a mysterious scandal. likely murdered at least two women one of which was linkletter's daughter. maybe murdered some unfamous women as well. poor art linkletter, went to his grave thinking his daughter committed suicide and no one could ever figure out why. that's cause she didn't. she died from being connected to show-biz fame, something durston was apparently attracted to.
Today's reality shows: too hyped, the fun is gone. LOL: Married to Lois 73 years, picked her for her dancing ability, especially her "reverse pivot". Never a serious quarrel. Lots of kidding.
