Backstory of Takiko Okuda, the first priestess of Genbu - she was summoned by the Tortoise god Genbu and she fulfilled her duties as a priestess but she was physically frail [see Fushigi Yuugi wikipedia] at she wasn't strong enough to prevent the tortoise god from devouring her after saying her wishes. She died of Tuberculosis but she was dying in the Universe of the Four Gods book but her own father killed himself in the real world so that both father and daughter would die at the same time. Takiko summoned Yui because she can fulfill her duties as the new priestess of Genbu without being devoured by the tortoise god.
