Nice demo. Just one point though - with the dumb pump when you close off all the zones the flow stops and the pressure rises. You say you are asking the pump to do more work - but this is incorrect. The watts actually drop a little so the pump is doing less work. The demo does nicely shows the advantage of a smart pump under the same conditions though.
i don't recommend high-tech instead simple pumps to my customer, maintenance is expensive and few guys can do it, on the other most of the regular pumps have low wattage.
How would you test an Star FX 15? Zone "is" being triggered as per LED on the TACO sr504 but above the pump pipe remains cold? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
