You can use them to make sorbets from any number of fruits and juices as well, i am not lactose intolerant and i would be more likely to use it for this myself.
For my best friend and I get each other actual presents but we also wrap up whatever we left at the others houses to give it back to each other. It’s usually clothing, accessories, or things we’ve borrowed from each other lol
After Rhett explained it... we gotta let him know, the dad Christmas trash bag is a tradition passed down from father to son and we can't let everyone know about it... last year was my first year as a trash bag dad...
I read this and felt the need to say congratulations on the first year as a trash bag dad? Haha so... congratulations! Hope you have a great second year as a trash bag dad this year 😂👏🏻
My best friend knew I recently Got into The Office (first time watched) and for my birthday last week he gave me a raw Beet and told me it was an authentic beet from Schrute farms... It was his actual gift. And I can’t say i’m mad, because that is hillarious.
This is the only time I might accept this lol Otherwise, a present joke like that (and to not give someone actual beats later), only works for the person who gave the gift. Otherwise, even the other parent would probably be like "Dude, seriously?"
I ADORE the look on Link’s face when he admits to using a birthday bag for a Christmas gift. Like his mom is totally going to let him have it next time she sees him! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The beets remind me of when (1988) I said I wanted an IROC Z and my dad glued an eye on a rock and painted a Z on it and wrapped it up for christmas. I laughed so hard, but was sad at the same time!
Dude toolboxes are great gifts, especially if you didn’t have one before. Every few years for Christmas since my 18th birthday (which my parents got me my first toolbox) I specifically ask for a new toolbox.
Omg I never knew that the hatred of gift wrapping is such a dad thing! Halfway through opening gifts my dad will be aggressively shoving ribbons into a box because he hates seeing them everywhere 😭
We've solved our gift wrapping problems. I started wrapping all gifts with fabric, Furoshiki style. It's reusable and doesn't take up a lot of space. Haven't bought gift wrap in 4 years.
These are all great, but I once got a bucket of rocks. It wasn't a gag gift. They thought I would like it because I collected interesting rocks. But it was literally a 5 gallon bucket of filler rocks from the store. I was 16, so it wasn't even like I could have used it on my property, as I had none.
The Retro He-Man didn't break, that line of figures is made to be able to mix and match with the other figures of the line to make a customized figure. I have some. 😸
One time when I was a kid my dad gave me a book with photos of the Detroit Red Wings and the card said “enjoy the book”. I started flipping through it and there were tickets to a Red Wings game in there. The St Louis arena was about 8 hours away so it was a whole trip and my uncle and cousin met us there.
16:37 “How do they talk in Oregon?” This made me laugh, because I live in Oregon. Rhett-“I think they just almost just talk like Normal” exactly how I’d describe my “accent” 😂 “almost like a news anchor.”
*Being a '80's baby myself, and having the He-man toys plus watching the toy commercials and animated series, Rhett and Link's convo brought **_so_** much nostalgia back!*
Last year my grandparents got me and my husband a book promoting the cult we grew up in (and left 6 years ago) and then cried and begged us to read it 😬 it was uncomfy to say the least!
The year hurricane Florence happened and we pretty much lost everything my mother wrapped my father's nasal spray. My father wrapped my mother's reading glasses and they wrapped me an old mug from a cupboard. It was actually really nice Christmas
One time my mom wrapped up a dictionary from our house and gave it to me... apparently there was supposed to be a gift card inside but the gift card accidentally got thrown away or something 😂
That Ricky Martin CD bit was mine I sent in lmao. This is so awesome seeing this I never would have imagined this. This made my day thank you good mythical team
My husband once got a book on mandolins even though he didn’t play it or own one. And he once got his mom a blender cause he wanted one and when she said she never uses blenders he was like that’s okay I’ll use it. 😂
I was “given” some very nice pots and pans by my boyfriend. When I came over two weeks before Christmas he had already unboxed them and put them on the stove. He said “Merry Christmas, I got you some pans. Oh and they can’t leave the house.” (We lived in separate accommodations)
About 10 years ago I worked in a grocery store. We did secret santa every year. I got a thermometer still in the bag it was purchased in that same day. 😂 I used it though.
3am gang, the most feared and revered, here to say that you are fabulous and fantastic and fierce and ain’t nobody gonna stand in your way of doing whatever you put your mind to today! (This applies to everything from world-saving to couch-sitting.) LOVE YOU
I was that one weirdo that actually loved getting clothes. I would usually ask for a specific type of clothes. One year was sweaters, one was dresses, one was funny t-shirts, one was literally just crazy patterned pants. My mom knows that if she wouldn't wear it, I'll probably love it. Lol.
The dad mode of cleaning up the wrapping paper is a thing my dad does. It’s like he goes into utter panic mode for it all. Also, I love that like all of these stories are from the South. We’re all crazy down here, if you ever come to visit.
Omg, my mom got me socks as a joke this year... they're literally my favorite socks. She found them at a local shop. They're my favorite color and they have cats and the words cat and meow written in various ways all over them. I love it.

Rhett's reading all the cards, and Link's over there playing with his new He Man. He was so happy. 😊
Loved it...
So wholesome
My little cousin was a total brat growing up (still is) so one year my grandma gave him 10 presents, ALL of them were socks! It was glorious
Were they all one sock? That would be even better
Lol that's great, I would of loved to see your cousins face that morning! 😂

As someone who is lactose intolerant, the icecream maker was actually a very thoughtful gift. To make your own lactose free icecream, duh!
I feel sorry for the guy. That's why he was so excited, but she didn't get it.
Right, that’s what I was going to say. I’m severely lactose intolerant, and it’s so hard to find lactose free ice cream. I would have been elated
Maybe they didn't realize that was an option, to make it lactose free 🤷♀️ I wouldn't lol
How would you make lactose free icecream
@@indoorgreg7364 Lactose free milk
The ice cream maker is a good gift for someone who's lactose intolerant. You can make lactose free ice cream in any flavor you want. How is that bad?
This is the comment I was looking for. Exactly!
You can use them to make sorbets from any number of fruits and juices as well, i am not lactose intolerant and i would be more likely to use it for this myself.
exactly what i was thinking
this is most probably the purpose of the guy who gave the gift - we usually get the DIY stuff if we have allergies/into DIY
But also lactose-free milk and cream exist so what's the problem? At least they do where I'm from
Oh hey, that Ricky Martin CD story is mine! I was shocked to see it come up. Thanks for using my story!
Still friends with that person?
Congo😁😁🤗
Yaaaay! Congrats! 🎊
Congrats my dude that's cool
Was not! It was mine ..
Kinda just want an episode of Rhett and Link playing with retro toys.
''The Toys that made us: Rhett & Link edition''
How can we make this happen?

Same tbh lol

So you’re just NOT gonna show us the owls!?
Makes for great radio.
For real! Where are the owls!? :(
No owls? Well that was disappointing. Why! Why! WHY!
Because it’s the stuff of horrors.
I came here to see if anyone else wanted to see the owls.

You really should share the pictures (except Link's naked grandma)
I disagree. Let’s get Grandma up there
Your loss.
Dude I got a half completed sudoku book from my grandma
OMG this made me laugh. At least she tried.
I think I got you beat i got a dollar (loonie in canada) from my grandfather and was told I had to share it with my brother ...
I got a calendar from the year before... 😂
🤣
Sudoku is so fun tho
He-Man: *immediately breaks*
Me: Was that from Walmart, Link?
Yeah it was 😆
Link: Which aisle of the Walmart am I in?
Except it didn't break, it just came apart.
When we would unwrap Christmas presents my grandma would shout “save the paper!!!!!” every single time and would fold it and keep it
My mother does the same thing 🤣
But did she iron it? ‘Cause my grandmother did.

My thoughts exactly. 🦉
My dad gives me my gift in the bag from the store he bought it from. No wrapping. No bags. But I always get exactly what I ask for.
Link’s thing about throwing away the paper is good advice. I threw away a gift card from my grandma on accident a few years back /:
We've solved our gift wrapping problems. I started wrapping all gifts with fabric, Furoshiki style. It's reusable and doesn't take up a lot of space. Haven't bought gift wrap in 4 years.
