On February 24. 2020 I was watching the Jimmy Fallon show. And he introduced BTS. They performed "On" at Grand Central Station in NYC. I was overwhelmed and amazed at the Magnificent Masterpiece I witnessed. Being from the Musical Theatre and a choreographer, I KNEW what it took to dance that choreography perfectly with NO mistakes. They were The Best I had ever seen. There is no MV of this because it was copyrighted by NBC. However, someone taped it on their TV, and there is a viable copy to watch on "RUclips." They filmed it many times to get a perfect "Print" to show on TV. So they had to dance "Full Out" each time they filmed it. Do you have any idea how hard that is? Same with the outside filming. They had to do Take after Take. So, again, they had to dance 100% for each time. It was so hot filming for 2 days. Especially in hot leather jackets. So, for each take, they had to cool off. Redo their Hair and Makeup. And Hydrate to keep alive!! They filmed the CA version first. But released the NYC Live Performance first to promote their Worldwide Concert Tour to promote their new album "7". However, the next day, they all were called into a meeting. It was videotaped, and it's on RUclips. They were told the shocking news that their whole tour had been cancelled!!! The pandemic had hit and closed the whole world down. They were devastated. They had worked so hard to prepare. Now, their livelihood had been stolen from them. "ON" was never performed for a Live Audience!!! Until....years later when they finally were able to hold a few concerts in CA and Las Vegas. It's quite a story. The history of their covid days is something else. They still had to work. But nothing in person. That's when they did their online concert. And taped performances for the Grammy's and other award shows. Check out their NYC performance. It's amazing!
This is one of their hardest choreography and the female in the beginning int the middle is the choreographer, Sienna Lalau who was 19 at the time and has done a lot of their dances. They also did this live on the Jimmy Fallon show. You might be able to react to it.

Nobody does it like BTS. This 2020 release from the Map of the Soul album series is an answering/paired song to their song NO or N.O. (No Offense) from their 2013 album O!RUL8,2? (Oh! Are You Late Too?) from their School Trilogy album series. In NO they were speaking out against an incredibly oppressive schooling culture in S Korea that leads them to the highest s**cide rate in the world in the 10-19 age range. Their School Trilogy of albums was groundbreaking, speaking truth to power as broke, indie artists, in a hierarchical culture. They took a lot of heat for that from the beginning, but they also threw a lifeline to struggling students in S Korea and all over the world, giving them inspiration, comfort and a voice for their struggles. It is the same theme as their very first ever single after their 2013 debut, No More Dream, about how students are so oppressed they lose the ability to dream and have personal goals outside of making the money their families want them to. BTS has literally been saving lives with their music from their very first song. There are many ARMYs who say BTS saved their lives. In the song ON, BTS are expressing that as long as they have ARMY and one another, they will never give up, no matter how much pain they endure. Even as "rain keep pouring and sky keep falling, bring the pain on", because they can take it. As Suga says in his verse, "Even if my knees drop to the ground, unless they are buried under it, it will be just an ordinary happening" as in - we're used to the struggle and the fight, and we won't give up. This makes more sense if you know more of their history and how very VERY much abuse they have had to endure, from industry blacklisting and shutout, media abuse, racism, d*ath threats, organized and bot fueled online hate campaigns, and much more. Being the biggest band in the world while being self-made, in opposition to the oligarchs of the world, is a dangerous business. They have been offered chances to play ball, to cheat, to pay their way in, to pay for radio play and awards like others do - and they always refuse, while being candid with ARMY about that going on. If NO is a voice of resistance, a shout of agony and defiance from artists and kids at the bottom (three of them were still in high school at the time) ON is a voice of resistance and continued defiance from artists at the top of the world 7 years later. They haven't changed, and neither has the fact that they still face a lot of attacks. Sienna Lalau, the 19 year old (at the time) choreography genius who is responsible for this choreography is front and center at the beginning of this MV. She is a Hawaiin Native who works with The Lab dance troupe in Los Angeles, which is who are in this video and where it was filmed, at Sepulveda Dam in LA. She has since worked with BTS multiple times on choreographies and worked with j-hope on solo choreographies. She was also one of j-hope's dancers on stage for his solo debut, his Lolapalooza headline show in Chicago. He broke Lollapalooza's record attendance by more than double, with 105,000 people at his solo show. It's a show I highly recommend watching and reacting to. The channel Enjoy BTS More has a good version with English subtitles. j-hope is a beast on stage, and in a group of performers, BTS, who all have insane levels of charisma, he stands out and eats up the stage. ARMY has a saying, "If you go to a BTS show not a j-hope bias, you will be when you leave." j-hope is the rapper in this MV who has the black jumpsuit with the top hanging down from his waist in back.

This was for an upcoming, huge world tour. It came out 2/20, lockdown of course happened in 3/20. Tour cancelled. There are several live versions of this on stage and in empty stadiums, and Grand Central station. Following this they did the covid trilogy of happy English songs.

The behind the scenes footage of BTS often have them on the floor staff putting on multiple ice pack's, oxygen, sometimes even an IV to replace lost fluids in hot countries because they do collapse. Even though they train singing on treadmills with devices to artificially restrict oxygen. Still ... jungkook gotcreally ill once due to the altitudes the arena and they were not in country long enough to acclimatise.

BTS would not be if they would have listened their parents.. Two first members both fell in love rapping and joined the underground rap scene absolutely against their parent's wills. First member is also BTS's chosen Leader, RM, their fastest rapper, and incredible lyricist. ( De used to be the horror of underground battle scene - others just didn't have a chance with his triple langue, quadruple entendres of this verified genius. Even faster mind, than his tongue.) And their second joined member SUGA, is their main in-group producer. There wouldn't be third rapper that these two trained, after he joined as a dancer. J-hope is their dance captain. There would not be their main vocalist, who chose their tiny company, just because RM was so cool in his underground/predebut era rap videos. They would not have much chance abroad if none of them spoke English - again RM. (also speaks fluent Japanese - one of their biggest markets.) There would not be anything of BTS if RM was office worker, like naturally, his parents wanted safe career - probably in Samsung, and same with Suga, both probably bored out of their incredible minds. 💜BTS is seven. Seven members. But it need to be these seven.💜 💜 BTW this song is 30 because there this which is 10 (well thirty on it's own) is also MV that is full on 10 and then the live from Grand Central Terminal for The Tonight Show and that is 10. The group Seventeen has 13 members in it and they are probably one of the groups that are most in sync in choreography in the K-pop industry that you will ever see other than Ateez in my opinion.

BTS would not be if they would have listened their parents.. Two first members both fell in love rapping and joined the underground rap scene absolutely against their parent's wills.
First member is also BTS's chosen Leader, RM, their fastest rapper, and incredible lyricist. ( De used to be the horror of underground battle scene - others just didn't have a chance with his triple langue, quadruple entendres of this verified genius. Even faster mind, than his tongue.)
And their second joined member SUGA, is their main in-group producer.
There wouldn't be third rapper that these two trained, after he joined as a dancer. J-hope is their dance captain.
There would not be their main vocalist, who chose their tiny company, just because RM was so cool in his underground/predebut era rap videos.
They would not have much chance abroad if none of them spoke English - again RM. (also speaks fluent Japanese - one of their biggest markets.)
There would not be anything of BTS if RM was office worker, like naturally, his parents wanted safe career - probably in Samsung, and same with Suga, both probably bored out of their incredible minds.

If you think it is amazing to see seven guys singing and dance and in sync, you should watch videos from Seventeen. The group Seventeen has 13 members in it and they are probably one of the groups that are most in sync in choreography in the K-pop industry that you will ever see other than Ateez in my opinion.
