What a precious mother. She loves her family very much. It’s easy to see where Carrie got her faith from. She was raised by Christian parents, attended church and was brought up well. God bless the family.

Oh I sure loved this interview. Carrie is an awesome woman and singer song writer. But her Mother is such a proud Mother and wonder lady as Carrie is as well. I can not wait to hear her two new albums.

Simon Cowell told Oprah, before the auditions even aired, that there was a country singer that really stood out named Carrie Underwood. I think he knew from her first audition that she was special. He also predicted she would sell more records than any AI winner and he was right.

My guess, even if Carole knew what to do, her father would have told Carole leave Carrie alone. Carrie's singing will take care of it, which it did. I think Carrie's singing showed her the way, and her manager took care of the rest.

Carol looks fantastic, she has to be in her early 70's. Her other dughters are also pretty.
She must have been so proud as much as we are. From her idol journey and now, an Icon in country music. I think she is the most accompished singer in American Idol when it comes to record sales, hits. PLUS she writes her own songs. That's what separates great singers from true artists.

As Carrie said when she has a tour stop in her home state, she does get nervous, but her powerful vocals take over and wipes away that nervousness out.

I think that was the best thing that helped Carrie out was the fact that Carole didn't know how to help Carrie out. The reason Carrie succeeded so well, Carrie is that good. Idol opened the door for Carrie and Carrie took care of the rest.

I think Carrie actually forgot where she was for a moment, when she singing "How Great Thou Art" and audience applauding snapped her back, you could tell she was embarrassed by that. Plus getting a standing ovation from her peers.
If you look at Bo, when Ryan was about to announced the winner, he knew Carrie won. He knew he had no chance at winning against Carrie. Bo said when he first heard Carrie sing he no chance at winning. Bo said every other contestant knew Carrie was going to win. The only one, who didn't know was Carrie.
Carrie's How Great Thou Are was her first time showing her full po3wer in front of her peers and she was embarrassed by that.
