Been looking forward to this… wish there was less background noise in the video, but I’m not disappointed with the module. Hopefully they can quickly find more SEM32s
Really cool. I would buy one for half what they’re asking. They should license the design to Erica or wmd, someone with better manufacturing lines to get the price down.
This makes me rethink about my „no drum modules in eurorack“-rule - actually I still have time to get to a final decision about this module. Pricewise it‘s probably going to be in the 500-ballpark, what do you think?
I love the Rabid team to death and I have a Natural Gate in my rack that's never going to leave, but I just can't see how to swing the price point on this... I want one so bad. Maybe I'll win the lottery one day. All I wanna do is crank that drive up and modulate the filters, sounds so dank...
I keep watching modular setups and for the life of me l can't see how this is even a thing or even worth the buy? I can shape sounds with your average drum synth. Why would l go through so much to get a mediocre drum sounds with a whole bunch or wires and ish? Like idk. I'm tryna wrap my mind around this modular stuff. I'll be damn I'm taking 30min just to create a patch and make music. I feel like this is for ppl who don't make music because how do you have a workflow tryna dial in the right tweak? Lol
Some people just love sound design and the happy accidents you get with modular that you don't easily get any other way, same way as some guitarists will spend £1000 on a vintage amp head and cab to get "that" sound even though modern digital modelling amps can do a ton more and cheaper.
I think I really depends how you like to make music. I could say the same thing about the piano, “Damn, why would I want to spend years practicing to get good when I can just use a daw sequencer?” You’ll never really know what you can achieve with a modular unless you spend time with one.
Correction: Rabid Elephant spent three years smoking weed.
Lol I thought the exact same thing

omg beef and beauty! With the feature set it really seems like it would work great in any track/mix.
I've waited two years after a pre-order when I buy Natural Gate... But I love products of Rabid Elephant.
I've played with the PD for a few hours already and I haven't heard the same sound twice. Immense range and great playability at the same time.
When a "Rabid Elephant" kicks, look out! (Like those double knobs)
Every Kick drum ever it seems!(and more) Great sounding module, I want one :)
Gooddamn that was impressive
800 usd for a kick drum module? Well, good luck with that.

sounds great!
just needs more cv control over the params... given the size of the module it should be easy to achieve...
Not seeing a grands worth of module..

They previously said something in the 800 ballpark.
It will be more like 800 for sure

Nah the demo is shit with the noise around. This is the biggest kick I’ve heard. Jomox doesn’t come close tbh
Kinda like your comment
