For anyone wanting to main cap here’s a few tips I can give: He’s not your traditional tank like Groot he’s more of a support tank has great mobility but doesn’t deal much damage what you want to do is either try to flank and target enemy healers or pair up with your other Tank if u see your tank fighting an enemy help him out the more you do that the more you’ll see captain America shine His Ult is very good as it gives your team a movement boost and yourself 900 health as well as damage boost If u can’t flank by yourself don’t worry just be at the front line of your team using your shield do retreat as well if you feel like your getting overwhelmed Don’t forget your fearless leap if you catch yourself in a bad situation by yourself and feel like your Gonna die you can fearless leap dive bomb yourself to safety Hope that helps trust me a really fun tank to use ✅
So I'm guessing Cap isn't a good Solo tank? Me and friends ways run into situations where a lot of people go DPS so most of time I play Cap I'm the only Tank.
Cap's shield reflects damage back at enemies but at inconsistent angles; for enemies like Punisher, get in his face and shield (especially if he has ult or is in turret), it will minimize your chances of missing, and he often ends up eliminating himself. In the absolute worst case, all you do is take his attention off your team. Cap's mobility is so much better than Punisher's, so he can't catch you on the disengage if you lose your shield. Reflected damage also has a tendency to bounce *up*, so try aiming slightly downward to reflect damage straight back.
@@miwky406 if you are moving forward, point your shield towards the ground and it forces all the reflected projectiles to funnel towards the direction they came from. There’s a sweet spot, you’ll find it.
Other notes his shield causes tracking issues. So punisher missiles when ult will fly over you and Hawkeye will not get afterimage of you while your shield is up.
It should be an automatic ranged ability where empowering it through a charge allows you to bounce it off targets or objects. He needs better mobility, that sprint should give him an added ability to parkour and even double jump.
@@manuleleGBY I just wish he could sort of bounce off walls like Moon Knight, something like a bounce back while in sprint. Almost like Mercer from Prototype when rebounding off walls.
He's supposed to be used in tandem with other heroes. You use your shield to interrupt attacks on your teammates and hopefully your team doesn't do "the overwatch thing" and leave you to get killed as a reward for you jumping in the middle of their fight. 😂
Same for bucky catching the shield from captain america winter soldier for the bucky mvp they got so many moments they can recreate an im here for it 🎉

Oh only had that happen once or twice. My suggestion is tho, find a tank thaf can heal himself. Either hyper mobile and play health packs or play Penni who can heal herself. s for solo supp, maybe play Luna who can heal a distant dps
Definitely need to tweak his cooldowns, his ultimate description, his shield passive also sometimes glitches and only throws 3 instead of 4. I also think melee should be tweaked as well to give him more range. I also think he needs multiple team abilities such as WS and Iron Man
How are you doing so much damage without enemies immediately healing back all of it after each hit?? I'll be beating their ass fast and aggressive as hell but these helicopter healers make it impossible to get kills. I'm not sure why this is most matches for me. My teammates always suck but the enemies are pros
I feel like they gotta up the damage for the tanks, Doctor strange, and Captain America do no damn damage. I stunned a Luna snow with strangers ultimate and head shot her with two whole basic attacks and the aoe dark magic attack at full charge and she didn’t die… I feel like in overwatch there’s nearly no 1 on 1 a tank can’t win vs a DPS or support unless they play the situation really well.
Doctor Strange can't get critical hits, so there's no point going for headshots with him. You need to build up his dark energy to 90+ for big damage. Ideally when you Ult you want his dark energy half charged and his ability ready to be used so when you Ult you get as much damage in as you can. Also if you want to build his dark energy quicker use his melee attack when people are close together as it gives 10 energy per person hit.
@ I feel like it’s so hard to hit all of his shots on a m1 attack as well so I feel like using melee wouldn’t be the worst it’s way easier to hit. But stranges best attribute is his shield, why even bother giving him that if optimally he has to play in the face of the enemy?

If dey was 2 reduce his cool downs to all around 5 secs each he'd be better, he's my main but could use a lil love to not be meh or op . Keep him as a mobile disruptor than a dbs the invasive movement n shield will reward him
Caps run does not turn off when attacking, so often times there is a delay in your attacks if your trying to walk into someone while attacking, and it annoys the crap out of me

Everyone wants to play DPS but barely vanguard or strategist bro this shit is so annoying. Only tank on my team stuck with 4 DPS that are all competing for the worst contender, I know I’m malding 😂 but this has made my comp experience not enjoyable as a tank main.
A tank with no health, his best at running away Caps will rarely get MVP 2 things I wish his melee hits fed into his coolddowns and that he had retaliation based damage boosts His base build should be tank and speed like it is but he should also shine under conditions Venom seems to be a good benchmark for meta

I feel like this game would play a lot better if every cd in the game that was 8 seconds or more had their cd reduced by 2 seconds. There’s a lot of awkward downtime.
I play captain america because I mean, its Captain America, but he is just so useless in this game and its kinda sad. You literally can get so much more output using any other tank. His ult is 10/10. I think the only reason he would be viable in actual ranked/high mmr, is if your team is playing dive with you, but if not he's just unreliable.
They perfectly implemented how it would feel for the captain to run in and beat that ass. His design, top tier

@@ljherron4315 Damage either needs a substantial buff, or a slight buff with damage reflect on the shield.
@ it’s purely a damage thing he can escape after diving and his abilities are cool but he can’t even solo a dps comfortably.
