Excellent footage thanks Mike, ultra typical fenland atmosphere, frames the trains perfectly ,plus the little whistles of wind..Nearly all the crops are in now , with Partridge and Pheasents .Nice evening out for us and yourself 👍👍😊 Ian
@@antman09ful1 had a wander round your neck of the woods on Sunday. Managed some shots of 7029 @Dorridge then went back to Northampton for my lift home. 🤓
Brilliant video Mike. 3 clips of "Cappagh" blue 60028 was very nice mate, and i dunno how you manage to find some of these out of the way locations but i'm glad you do. Thanks for sharing Mike, take care and have a good week, Colin.
Colin it makes the hobby for me more interesting trying to find different places to film, ok sometime its crap but its worth taking the chance. Thank you for your comment, and yes it was good getting extra shot of the 60. ATB Mike.
Superb video Mike. Love the shots of the shunting in Papworth. You know I love that kind of stuff. Ely has so much railway character that you can't go wrong with a good day out there going to different spots. Top video Mike. Speak soon. Ben
Oh yes Robert I will agree with your comment as I enjoyed trying out some new locations, and I want to try another next time in the same area. Take care Mike.
Enjoyed that Mike, some good locations there from 1 of my favorite areas👍🏼Good to see you got 60028,looks excellent with the matching wagons.Cheers Dave
Thanks for watching Dave, its a area I do like to get out to as there are lots of places to do our hobby, but you do get the windy days a lot. Regards Mike.👍
Great to have content on my doorstep, I live a couple of hundred yards from Ely North Junction, lots of interesting stuff come through Ely. With ref to Angel Trains based at Papworth Sidings quite a lot of interesting units stored there, over on the other side of the side there are at least 3 180's there ex EMR units also several HST Cars and carriage stock. Lots of other great locations in the area to film from.
Queen Adelaide Way runs directly along side the side on the other side of the River Great Ouse allowing a view into the site from the road. There is an access bridge over the river into the site now whether Papworths and Angel Trains would allow a member of the public onto the site I don't know but it might be worth finding out. @@antman09ful1

@@antman09ful1Anytime Mike, it looks very good. You too!
Silly question I know but since WHEN has Ely had an avoiding line? I have filmed there many times and I never saw it.
Well if a train is travelling from March to Kings Lynn it doesn't have to go to the station to run round.
@@antman09ful1 but WHERE is this avoiding line because I've never seen it
Look on google earth.
@@antman09ful1 would it be the Ely west Junction?
Is the Ely west curve still in use ?
Yes its on this video.
Yes l noticed it after my comment !@@antman09ful1
Are the 156s stored at Ely
Well some are, not sure if all are there.
Presume middle Rd crossing near march close to where 66 Northampton saints hit tractor in 2021
I thought the GBRf accident was nearer to Whittlesea, but I could be wrong, thanks for checking out my video.
@antman09ful1 Yes, just before middle rd was where train came to rest hit it at crossing just before by farm in background I live just down road
Ok, thank you for your info and interest in my video.
