He rarely strains and he support B4 consistently live and he can even support an Eb5 in studio while hyo shin can only support to C5. If you are a singer then you surely know that supporting an Eb5 is just out of this world unless you're dimash.
This brought me to tears the way the voices matched and the melody and genre fit both parties blew me away. Kens voice was so powerful and the other guys high notes were outstanding! The one thing i did notice was Kens voice was a bit more overpowering then the other guy and kinda drowned him out on some parts,but he held his own.

Ok I've been binge watching all of Jaehwan's Duet Song Festival performances but I can't help but notice that thEY ALWAYS LOSE BY A FEW POINTS OMG WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH THESE PEOPLE DON'T THEY SEE TALENT WHEN IT SINGS TO YOU RIGHT IN THE FACE!!!!! WHY DO THEY ALWAYS LOSE OMG?!?!
Every week I would wait and stream the show, then listen to their song again and again. I'm gonna miss their voices so much! The good news is Ken will be in Yoon Jong Shin's Monthly Project for this May. I think the song will be released on May 30th.
Them not winning here when they sang perfectly still breaks my heart. Jaehwan and Sangyeop's duets were all very good but this one in particular was absolutely phenomenal.

It's undeniable that Ken is a great singer and he deserves all the praise he gets BUT, I listen to these performances pretty much every single day and I can never comprehend why Sang Yeop is SO CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. He has one of the best voices I've ever heard and he has no solo albums, no solo singles, no nothing... Pretty much the only performances he has are these ones with Ken and also he sings a few OSTs and yet some of them are not even on Spotify (example: the song "First Love" from the OST of My First First Love, which is the most lovely song ever). It hurts my soul, I literally want to create a record label just so I can bring him there and make a bunch of albums and make a huge star out of him... I just recently found out about his band LUCY, they debuted in May but still, they have so little representation. It's a crime that this man is so unheard of, for Christ's sake. It's 2019 and there are still days I would find myself replaying all of Ken's dsf performances it's a hard choice but I think this is my fave from him on the show. Honestly, Ken has got to have one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard and paired with Sangyeop in this duet just takes his talent to another level. I love his voice so much and we all know he can hit those high notes but this song perfectly highlighted the huskiness and his low notes and I truly wish he sings this again in the future.

hello everyone !! came here to day that jaehwan's duet partner is choi sangyeob who recently debuted with a band named lucy !!! he's the guitarist and vocalist, along with the other three members: yechan (violin/leader), wonsang (bassist/vocalist), and gwangil (drummer/vocalist) they debuted with the single "flowering" at the beginning of may y'all should check it out bc it slaps and they're all so incredibly talented like jaehwan
In retrospect I think if they had belted a few more notes, and maybe ended the song with a drawn out a high note sung by both of them it might have cinched them the win. Ken's vocals have always been amazing, especially in songs of this style. I honestly think it was the tame ending that did them in, i mean the score literally stopped at 421 for a bit where they paused just before the last line. And then it went up a smidge as they sang the final note. If they had belted the last note together the score would have shot past far enough for them to take the lead. Ik this is old but it just irks me every time i watch it because ik (like everyone else) that they really could have won here.
