I’m all for Vegas getting a team but make it expansion. Beautiful Howard Terminal stadium in Oakland and beautiful stadium in Vegas! Both cities are happy this way
The Athletics have been trying to get a new stadium for years, but they've been unable to. If they can't get those projects done, they have to go. They can't stay in the current stadium
@@dannythunder3180 fisher walked out on Howard Terminal negotiations. A good owner would’ve got a stadium built long time ago.
Plus does Vegas want not Karma of Fisher, even if he were to completely change. The actions he took are just epically awful and I wonder about what will truly happen.
@@deanwille8130that’s the spin that MLB would love you to swallow, it is at a minimum far more complex.
@@elisemariecollinsyoga5905 what spin? With a good owner, it would’ve been done! Other cities have terrible leadership but stadiums get built. The key is owners want to stay
I’m from Vegas stay in Oakland we want our own team!
@@805fillmoreAre you John Fisher?
@@togoandmossAre you Dave Kaval?
@@805fillmoreI find it ironic that you’ve been here all this time talking crap about Oakland and your true motivation for this is so you can wear Dodger blue 3 times a year at a stadium in Vegas.
Honestly I take my family to the A’s game about 10 times a year and never have problems. Tailgating and playing catch in the parking lot. Oakland is a crazy city but I swear to you that is not what is keeping the fans away. What’s keeping people away is the selling off of the team every time you start to get attached to the players. I don’t even mind the coliseum.
As For Las Vegas . Cailfornia has to many teams .
A’s fans need to have a reverse protest night or week at Aviotor stadium with chants of Sell the team & Stay in Oakland
Why that’s so dumb
@@805fillmoresure organize!
@@togoandmoss no one here wants to support John Fisher. They would rather fly to other stadiums to protest. MLB a owners are living in a tone deaf echo chamber, don’t think a sudden rise in A’s attendance will change that.
As a resident of Clark County, I completely disagree that the festival grounds was the preferred site. The Rio, by far, is the preferred site. Locals will not go to the Tropicana site because it is on the strip. Locals will definitely not go to the festival grounds because it is not only on the strip, but it is in/directly adjacent to an absolutely terrible neighborhood. It is unsafe during the day, forget leaving the ballpark at 10PM or later.
As a LW Vegas resident I agree with you. I’ll add another layer. We do not want the As here. We would prefer wait for a Vegas bread and born expansion franchise. We do not want to be a bail out for a horrible team with an even worse owner.
As a Vegas local I love the Tropicana site.
@@jamesbyrnes1208 Based on what?
@@togoandmoss Right. 🤣🤣🤣
9 acres.
Hidden behind hotel towers at an intersection locals (1 exception doesn't make it wrong) will not go to.
Mathematically impossible to meet their own incredibly ambitious attendance numbers, a 2.5 million number they're managed all of three times in a 47,000+ seat stadium.
John Fisher is a billionaire and could have ended the "moneyball tactics" 15 years ago. He went cheap. Fans went away.
Nevermind that those moneyball tactics make up EXACTLY the analytics methodology used by the Rays (73-50). Maybe you're heard of them. You could flip that record and still be 15 games ahead of the A's.
Rio site would be best. Not just traffic issues, the view is much better.
As someone who lived in Tampa/St.Pete when the Twins, White Sox, Mariners and Giants were each a “lock” to move to Tampa Bay, we heard and sympathized with those concerns.
As someone who lived in Baltimore when Peter Angelos wanted to move the Bucs there, I offered to help them pack being a diehard Bucs fan.
As someone who lived in Baltimore when Modell moved there, there were very mixed emotions because he did to Cleveland what Irsay did to Baltimore. And everyone in Baltimore knew it.
As a small child in the DMV who saw the Senators bolt just as baseball was becoming interesting, a 33 year wait for a new team seemed unfathomable.
He’s not gonna sell, but as you pointed out in an earlier video, both cities should have teams by ‘26. By then, hopefully there will be a commissioner with enough testosterone to force the Giants to surrender San Jose.
So… if a guy beats his first wife, and beats the second wife, and heats his third wife… Font think he’s going to treat the new wife any differently.
The A’s really need Baseball to step in, confiscate the team, build a ballpark and get a decent owner in Oakland.
Want to bet that if they build the stadium the owner will wait until it is finished and the team has lost a few or more games he ups and sells the team at a big profit. There ought to be some verbiage in the contract between the the state and the owner that should he sell the team the state gets all their up front money before the owner gets any money at all. Build into this agreement should be a requirement that when he sells the team the money should be inflation indexed so the state gets future money and not the actual amount of money he got from the state.
Let the people decide!!!
Vegas doesn't care
Somebody call bill gates asap
they still Oakland today
I don't think most Vegas RESIDENTS want this, but their opinions are thoroughly outweighed by much of the state legislature.
Funny, you two still think the A’s are going to end up in Vegas. In the end it’s not going to happen.
What is the future for the Aviators?
Certainly not any better than they have it now.
They’re watching the divorce, but they’re still building the new house.
I’m not paying attention to Oaklanders. You guys had decades to get something done and dragged your feet. You only got serious about it when the team threatened to leave. All the theatrics is too little, too late. I welcome the A’s with open arms. Viva Las Vegas.
A comment as ignorant as it is stupid
they should pay attention to the fanzz and let, Oakland keep the Terrible A’s , before they regret it 2 years later🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sell and STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
