Not forget, when they raelly plan to rise a new mankind, they either need a technological solution for that or need many women willing to be pregnant their whole life as long as they can. So overall it would make sense for these guys to have a whole freezer vault with 100s of young pretty models, of course all checked on being ideologically brainwashed to serve the cause.
It's one of the most obvious problems of such scenarios that is mostly forgotten. Overall the chance of just some hundred to survive is abysmal anyway, so you should have more and do your absolute best to raise that number as fast as you can (when having enough room and resources for that, of course).

As it turns out, the secret to a successful video game adaptation was just to craft a good story whilst capturing the spirit of what people loved about the games. I guess it took putting people in charge who actually understand and respect gaming to figure that out. Granted that same exact thing happened with comics a decade ago, but better late than never. It gives me a lot of hope for the Bioshock and Horizon shows.

"No dogs in the vaults" makes perfect sense resource wise, but dogs and humans are so deeply entwined that it would definitely be a big deal. We use them for hunting, for friends, for scavenging, for finding our way home, for guarding us from wild animals, for guarding us from wild people etc etc etc. Theyd be very useful for rebuilding the world. Also i like dogs.

Also, when it discovered Norm wasn't Betty why wouldn't it just contact Betty and tell her what was going on instead of just telling Norm to jump into his father's cryo pod and wait it out? Why couldn't it open the bay door?

The more I think about it, the less sense first episode makes.
For the "wedding" to happen, following should be true:
    - Moldaver knows the vault 32 is not inhabited. Otherwise she would need more Raiders on her side
    - Moldaver knew that there's wedding to be (So I assume she was there multiple times. Get into vault, find out there'S a wedding to be, pretend to be an overseer, arrange wedding, find people, put up a mascarade, tech them a bit manners...)
    - Moldaver should've planned the wedding around the time she expected the Enclave-Scientist to escape (if the scientist didn't managed to escape after all, the whole wedding-part was for nothing)
    - Despite her pretending to be an overseer, Vault 32 hasn't registered any activity, since last one was 2 years ago.
    - Vault 31 didn't cared about vault 32 revolt
    - Vault 31 didn't monitor another vaults, despite the sole purpose to let out next overseers. So it didn't check on Vault 32 in 2 years.
    - Vault 31 didn't send another Overseer into Vault 32
    - Moldaver didn't build a base in Vault 32 (who needs a safe space with water filters and stuff to use)
    - Hank, despite knowing who Moldaver was, since he took his daughter from her and his wife, haven't started an alarm.
    - Vault 33 dwellers turned off their pipboys and didn't measure radiation
    - Raiders, despite being aggressive junkies, understood and agreed to play along with a mascarade
    - Raiders didn't went on murderous rampage and didn't killed the target
I'm sure I missed something else which is way too convinient for the plot to happen.

The series is not that far chronologically from the latest games. It only occurs 10 years after Fallout 4, 16 after New Vegas and 20 after Fallout 3. So the Lone Wanderer, the Courier and the Sole Survivor could all 3 still be alive and kicking in the Wasteland during these events. Wouldn't surprise me if a huge nod to the Courier is made in season 2, seeing it will have New Vegas in the forefront and him being such a beloved character from the video games.
I was pleasantly surprised by season 1, wasn't expecting anything amazing and ended up having a blast with it.

38:06 I have a lil theory, the cold fusion thing was Moldaver’s tech before Vault-tec absorbed it to them. But maybe at some point Moldaver went to Vault-tec presenting herself as the leading expert on the technology. Vault-tec wanted the best and brightest amongst their SCIENTISTS they bring upon to monitor their vaults after being in cryogenics, maybe Moldaver volunteered as a scientist after they saw her work. It’s how Moldaver could have found out her work was stored away in the Enclave, maybe she was going to work on her tech in the Enclave? Me thinks that’s how she knew Wilsig!!!
But something clearly changed and she somehow went from Miss Williams to Moldaver. Something was bugging me with Hank’s words to her, “I think I know who you are”, it’s not him referring her as Moldaver but as Williams! She became an enemy to Vault-tec sometime ago before she invaded V33. A known rogue scientist like Wilsig. When she said “everyone knows who I am”, she legit meant EVERYONE including Vault-tec AND the Enclave who sees her a runaway liability to their vision of humanity. 🤔

Imagine cooper meeting dean domino (another pre war entertainment industry ghoul) assuming the canonical ending for that DLC involves dean living, if there even is an ending where he lives because let's be real, I havent replayed that fuckin dlc in 10 years because I am not a fan of its cadence. I wish they had done the Macguffin better. The Fallout world is no stranger to cold fusion. In fact it is defined by massive amounts of power with little ability to control it. I think it would have landed much better if they hadn't pretended it was something new and undiscovered (By the inventor who could never invent again). If it had just been an established GECK component, the other details instantly make more sense. Shady Sands itself was built by and powered from the cold fusion of a GECK. But then again, Shady Sands had to die just to reset the world back to a state of peak familiarity, much like star wars. Nothing can ever progress or improve, everything must always reset for the next wave of writers to do it over again themselves.
