honestly this is so underrated because blythe dolls can be so expressive and the effort the creator puts in the making of the doll and the video editing is amazing.

I was wondering while spraying the Mr clear sealant, if I do it outside would I still need a respirator mask?
Hi! I don’t use a respirator outdoors, just make sure to not in breath any of the fumes ☺️

what is the pigment you’re using for the face coloring? it’s no water, just the matte varnish after? thank u, wonderful video!
It’s a sealant spray! I recommend Mr Super Clear Matte sealant
What kind of colors are you usung and how do you make them stick to the plastic?
I use chalk pastels! And spray sealant to get the colours to stick 👍
hello i have a question when you finish customising the doll do you use anything to make sure the face doesn’t smudge or something because i want to start customising dolls too
I use a matte varnish spray! Mr Super Clear is a popular option! Remember to spray in between layers so you can build up colour and details 💗 have fun customizing! 😄
@@clairexm thank you ! i still have a few questions what do you use to remove the factory paint and after you’ve done that do you spray the msc before or after you’ve painted the first layer
@@sehyun9140 from what I’ve seen people will use nail polish remover that has acetone in it. If you can get your hands on a bottle of pure acetone I’ve heard that works really well too. Deco sanded her doll’s face instead of using the spray for the first part. You can go either way since they’ll both give adequate grip for the pencils. A majority of the artists I’ve seen just spray the msc beforehand and don’t bother sanding them.

I use warm-hot water 😌 but I don’t think it really matters
Do you wear any sort of mask while sanding? I'm about to get my first doll
If concerned I recommend a dust mask!

I use resin for the eyes and “triple thick” gloss glaze for the lips

Hi sorry for the late reply, I use chalk pastel :) I unfortunately don’t remember the brand but I bought it from Michael’s
What is the total cost for creating one of these? Wanting to learn to make a custom gift for someone.
Well a base doll is around $40 CAD, all materials is probably around $50 CAD, depending on what I add, sometimes another $20-50+ CAD
Perhaps a total of $80-150+ depending on everything involved for me (I’m sure you can do it cheaper if it’s just one doll, but I account for all costs :)
Also $20-30 for shipping costs! (When I sell the doll)
Very pricy 😅 but I’m sure you can do it for cheaper if you try 🙏🙏

how do you fix a mistake on carving is u did one?
I would sand it down again and try to fix the mistake! If you take off too much material you can use epoxy sculpt to build back some surface area 🫶
