- Diana Dmitrievna Ankudinova, born on May 31, 2003, is a renowned Russian singer who gained significant recognition after winning two consecutive seasons of 'You Are Super!', a talent competition show on the Russian NTV network for children who have spent a significant part of their childhood without parental care. Her performances were posted on the NTV website and the NTV RUclips channel, attracting hundreds of millions of views worldwide. Diana primarily sings in Russian, English, and French, but she has also performed songs in other languages, including Spanish, German, and Arabic. Diana was born in the far eastern Primorsky Territory of Russia, north of the city of Vladivostok. She had a challenging childhood, with her biological mother physically abusing her. At the tender age of three, she was abandoned at a bus stop in the winter with a broken collarbone. Diana's biological aunt rescued her from the street but was unable to care for the traumatized child. Consequently, Diana was placed in an orphanage in the Primorsky Territory, which catered to abandoned young children in the general area.
Children from the orphanage were periodically sent to a sanatorium in Arsenyev to help them regain and maintain their physical and mental health. It was here that a massage therapist, Irina Anatolyevna Ponik, developed a special affection for Diana. Irina's daughter, who occasionally visited her mother at work, was the first to insist that her mother adopt Diana¹. In 2008, Irina Ponik filed the necessary paperwork to assume formal legal guardianship of Diana Ankudinova. The new family resided in Arsenyev. In 2012, they relocated to the city of Tolyatti in the Samara Oblast of southwestern Russia, primarily due to Diana's fears that her biological mother might find and abuse her or even attempt to regain custody of her. These fears were so intense that they significantly affected young Diana's mental health.
