There's a few haters around suddenly but they are very clearly out of touch with the core experience and musical ideology of dubstep, otherwise they'd appreciate this track instead of slandering it.
they prefer skrillex/excision's style of tearout dubstep (brostep). But even then, they are out of touch because of their ignorant knowledge thinking tearout dubstep a.k.a brostep (the dominant sub-genre) is the only real dusbtep, when in fact there are other precursor dusbtep before tearout. This is just repackaged classic sound with clean mixes. However, we can't please them since the brostep *likers (pre-dominantly kids on internet watching UKF) already hate minimalistic dubstep way before 2012, as we can see tracks from Truth, Geode, Noclu, Variations, etc. have way lower view-count than Getter, Zomboy, or Flux tracks. Because they were fed at that time in the mainstream that real dusbtep should sound like brostep, and not the other way around and denouncing old dubstep sound as a subgenre or worse, an uninteresting and ugly form of dubstep.
Well look what happened to Phonk, from the original sound of phonk rap, mainstream media (*primarily spotify and tiktok) tells you that Phonk sound more like Drift-phonk (the hardbass version of Horrocore). No one in Gen Z's (since they're the predominant demographic in internet nowadays especially in Tiktok) even knows or can tolerate the original phonk sound and I saw in r/phonk hater the same treatment as what dubstep has before and now.
