Actually, I've heard Sabrina has been hinting at some new music content for a while (a collab between Joshua and Sabrina has been speculated at for a LONG time now, its where some of the rumors of them dating started). Joshua's song "Lie Lie Lie" was posted a long time ago on his insta, even when he and Olivia were still close. He wrote it about 1-2 years ago, about a friend who betrayed him or something like that. The music video has a lot of parallels to Olivia's though, thats why fans at first tried to compare it to Drivers License even though it isn't. I think Sabrina was respectful and kind in her song while also sharing her pov- if this was even a "response." Personally, I also believe that the chorus itself was a diss to her haters (its no secret that she's been receiving a LOT of hate recently since the release of drivers license over mere rumors/speculations), and I think that the song as a whole is a mixture of a response to her haters AND Olivia, i mean with the entire drama going on its impossible to believe that even she wouldn't think the public wouldn't have anything to say with her play of lyrics. If Olivia could make a song telling her pain and lowkey mentioning Sabrina like everyone believes, then I think Sabrina could say her side (and she did it in quite a nice way- this song is a bop) as well. Also I deeply believe that the releases of the songs were planned in some way or form, and they are most definitely milking out the situation- this *_screams_* PR stunt. In my opinion, I think some people are missing the point that when Sabrina says "don't drive yourself insane" it's not meant to be a diss but rather give a sense of comfort. She used a good play on words (in my opinion) by doing so. In Olivia's song she keeps saying how insecure she was because of "that blonde girl" and in my opinion, Sab is trying to acknowledge that pain liv might be going through by saying that she won't force liv to "let it go" because liv also has a right to her feelings,, Sabrina also says that she shouldn't let it "drive her insane" or let it get to her head because better things are waiting. It was not about Olivia, this was aimed at the toxic and hateful fans. Sabrina has been receiving death threats and hateful comments for no reason. And she's not dissing Olivia. Actually, I've heard Sabrina has been hinting at some new music content for a while (a collab between Joshua and Sabrina has been speculated at for a LONG time now, its where some of the rumors of them dating started). Joshua's song "Lie Lie Lie" was posted a long time ago on his insta, even when he and Olivia were still close. He wrote it about 1-2 years ago, about a friend who betrayed him or something like that. The music video has a lot of parallels to Olivia's though, thats why fans at first tried to compare it to Drivers License even though it isn't.
I think Sabrina was respectful and kind in her song while also sharing her pov- if this was even a "response." Personally, I also believe that the chorus itself was a diss to her haters (its no secret that she's been receiving a LOT of hate recently since the release of drivers license over mere rumors/speculations), and I think that the song as a whole is a mixture of a response to her haters AND Olivia, i mean with the entire drama going on its impossible to believe that even she wouldn't think the public wouldn't have anything to say with her play of lyrics. If Olivia could make a song telling her pain and lowkey mentioning Sabrina like everyone believes, then I think Sabrina could say her side (and she did it in quite a nice way- this song is a bop) as well.

I remember they were spotted at a BLM protest, and her fans literally went IN on Sabrina on her socials. They hated Sabrina for doing nothing. Olivia originally wrote the song in early 2020 BEFORE josh and Sabrina. Which means, the girl who Olivia is talking about isn’t really Sabrina. She knew even before releasing the song, her fan base already hated Sabrina for even hanging out with josh, let alone dating her. For me, it goes back to how Olivia handled the backlash Sabrina got. In my opinion, I think some people are missing the point that when Sabrina says "don't drive yourself insane" it's not meant to be a diss but rather give a sense of comfort. She used a good play on words (in my opinion) by doing so. In Olivia's song she keeps saying how insecure she was because of "that blonde girl" and in my opinion, Sab is trying to acknowledge that pain liv might be going through by saying that she won't force liv to "let it go" because liv also has a right to her feelings,, Sabrina also says that she shouldn't let it "drive her insane" or let it get to her head because better things are waiting. It was not about Olivia, this was aimed at the toxic and hateful fans. Sabrina has been receiving death threats and hateful comments for no reason. And she's not dissing Olivia. If understand the lyrics clearly ("maybe you didn't mean it, maybe blonde was the only rhyme") she's saying that she knows and understands that Olivia didn't mean it in a rude way and the under my skin lyric is not attacking Olivia, Sabrina is just saying that the hate she and Josh recieves, she had enough of it and she won't let this bring her down. Also in the “ maybe we could pretend there is no gravity in the words we write” meaning she understands but just by saying “blonde” it created some heavy weight hate on her .... I think Olivia is young and it obviously hurt but like Sab kinda said at the end, it will get better in time don’t drive yourself insane and she goes on and also says they could’ve been friends and even maybe in a future when they can laugh about it stops being thrown in their face ... and the rest of the song is directed to basically the haters ... idk man they are both talented song writers and this was their way to release their emotions and at the end of the day they are humans and go through the same ish everyone does.

This is more about the hate for the fans that for olivia tbh, for both for sure, but if you all want to make her about just olivia i think she could be mad with her cause she has been getting hate and death threats from olivia stans for months (since she started hanging out with josh) even before the song came out, and it's only gotten worse after drivers license. Her song kinda made everyone- not just olivia fans point at her as a bad person. And no one did something to stop the fans from the death threads and hate, maybe she expect olivia to tell them to stop or something like that. Drivers License didn't diss Sabrina. She actually handled the "other" girl part with grace. Sabrina's song didn't diss Oliva. It basically just said, hey, this will pass, and to the haters, I just don't care about what you have to say anymore.
