Rimac does a lot of thjings really well, but Lucid has the best packaging I've ever seen. Same size as en E-Class or EQE, but way more spacious and a huuuuge frunk in stead of none. Lucid really cares about doing the best possible, their way.

Why do you think that car feels so much more special than the Lucid, and other fast electric cars like the Plaid and Taycan Turbo S? The Lucid may be fast, but it is still a very heavy and pedestrian four door car which has little else going for it than its comfort, 0-60 trick and practicality. And speaking of comfort. You'd be surprised as to how comfortable a long road trip in an SF90 actually is.
A drag race is one thing, a twisting race course like Laguna Seca or an F1 circuit would yield a different result. Or a top speed race, after 150mph or so, the Ferrari would pull away.

Top speed is barely affected by weight. Acceleration from standstill is. A bit. At top speed, 90% or more of your power is for pushing away air. All the rest is rolling resistance. Rolling resistance is proportionate to mass+downforce time speed. Air drag ramps up way faster so faster cars deal with air drag almost exclusively, not with weight. Extra weight just makes it take a bit longer to reach the almost same top speed.
Solid state batteries are coming soon (they think), and they're gonna be game changers. Half the weight, twice the range, charge from 0-100 in 10 minutes. Or so says Toyota.

I hope they sell a cheaper trim model of the sapphire because I just really like the way it looks but mainly I definitely don’t need that much Horsepower half of that would still be to much for me
