You make some good points. I see the demise of the Seiko 5 range and watches like the SNXS as a sad thing. The new models that Seiko has released are uninspiring. I have two versions of the SNXS, the silver dial and the blue dial, which is still in the box with the hang tag on it. Great watches.
I have my watch for 13 years. Im not sure what to do. Got some scratches on the hardlex crystal. I know i can buy new crystal and new movement.... but then i could also buy a new case.... and her were are like im buying the new watch already. Well this watched costed me 90 EUR back then.
Thank you very much for watching and your feedback! Much appreciated. The strap is from „Bisonstraps“ and the German Amazon website it can be found here: BISONSTRAP Leder Uhrenarmband,... www.amazon.de/dp/B08RDD2ZQ7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Cheers
@@watchyouwant1617 Mine is 7.5 inches and I don't wear larger than 39mm unless it's a diver. 37 and 38mm are great sizes for you. But I guess some people favor legibility while others favor proportions. Both are legitimate. And frankly, it depends on the style of watch too. I'd be happy to wear the 41mm Breitling Navitimer (the non-chrono version).
A lot of what is now 'classic' can just as well be called outdated - cars, watches, suits, etc. Me, I prefer classic over outdated unless I am pursuing peak performance in something.
The strap you chose looks great with this legend. Impressed!
Thanks!
I think I like this better than the new one.
@@discountmorty213 me too

you can change the caseback and then the watch looks eaven better. the hight is reduced by 1mm and the watch dose not look like an UFO anymore
Great idea! Thanks for your feedback!
I plan on getting the new version of this watch 👍🏻
Good to hear from you! Really interested in what your thoughts on this piece will be! All the best
What's the new version?

This is my everyday watch. I've already bought two jubilee bracelets on aliexpress and the end links in both of then didn't fit the watch.
Sorry to hear that. I‘m also looking for a jubilee to pair it with the watch. Hope you’ll find a one that fits the watch. Thanks for your comment!
Uncle Seiko makes bracelets for this watch that actually fit. They are relatively expensive and probably not worth it unless it is your only watch.
Thanks for the video! It's just a great watch. Looks nice on that leather strap too. Do you happen to have a link to that one? Cheers

@@watchyouwant1617 Thanks! Already ordered it. Will look nice on my SNXS079 😅
I still prefer my SNXS75 I think :)
Where do you buy your leather straps from?
@@darkbulbs It was a so called Bisonstrap 19mm from Amazon Germany
My main problem with a lot of watches is that theyre too small for my taste, 40mm is the smallest I'd wear, 42mm ideally
It’s definitely a matter of taste. Sometimes the lug-to-lug distance is even more crucial than the diameter. All the best
What is your wrist size? 40mm is a good size for an 8 inch wrist.
@@kresimirpleic 7 inches

plenty of the seiko 5 sports line sit between 40-42mm
Did your cat 🐈 hide the venerable 809 under the coffee table again?
theirs a new version that came out which is nicer IMO
In the video I give my thoughts about it. I think it’s overpriced
A nice watch, but outdated movement..no handwinding, no hacking..no..7s26 is outdated..
Agree!
Agree but I have the same watch from early 2011 and its still going like the first day. The movement is old but its a working horse.
